How I live now.

Well the first thing I've discovered is that BT have been charging me £13.50 extra for the last two months for some sports package just because I have Broadband through them!
Just spent 20 mins on phone to cancel it and reclaim my £27, but can't get through.:mad:
Since I'm only 4 days into notification of their overall price hike, I'm just hacked off enough to cancel the entire package (phone and broadband) altogether.... If I can get hold of them!!
Never use the phone - except to call my mother and to call BT. So it may just be sensible to go with an alternative source for the Broadband...
Do any of you have t'interweb without a landline?

I do! I use Virgin Media and pay £48.14 a month for their medium TV package and fastest broadband (which I've found to be very reliable). I have no landline with them as it was only ever used by scammers calling me!
I'm not sure how that competes with what you're paying, but I know when I looked at my Mum's payments to SKY they made my eyes bleed! She's with Virgin now!0 -

Good morning Lovelies!
Over the last few weeks, I've been hugely inspired by you lot and some off-line pals and have decided to stop faffing about the edges and actually knuckle down and get my life properly in gear.
It's about setting some proper goals (Trademark MT), and working on a sensible plan on how to get there. Yes, it's about the money - but it's so much more than that:- it's about being more disciplined in general *stares balefully at the can of coke and huge bag of twirl bites she's having for breakfast*;
- it's about being the source of my own contentment, rather than relying on others;
- it's about having some stability and security;
- it's probably not about hoarding lots of stuff and generally filling my home to bursting; and
- it's about more than I really understand right now.
I'm also struck by the fact that I've been at this point in various guises before and not stuck to my plans. So I'm going to take some time to read back through this and my other diary to work out where it all fell over. Forewarned and all that.
You know what I need right now? I need a listing pen and paper!! *dashes off*
Back soon!

Thank you for the shout out there Nora. My life has literally taken a huge turn for the better since I really got into my focus and am consciously moving towards my goals. I read something recently that was incredibly inspiring and may be helpful, hang on..... here it is!
Make a list of things that make you happy.
Make a list of things you do every day.
Compare the lists.
Adjust accordingly.
I can't credit anyone with that, as it doesn't say, but I found that a really good place to start and continue.
Good luck with your goals lovely Nora. x0
