You've been busy while I was away Nora.

Yay for the negotiation and organising you've been doing.

You mentioning your water meter has reminded me that apparently I have one but I've no idea where it is on/around the property, its def not in any of the usual places - under the sink, or around the meter boxes for my gas and 'leccy. Might get around to calling the water co on my next day off to sort that one out (my estimated metered bill is roughly what the co claim is average for a 2 bed, three person household, I'm in a one bed alone!).
From what the water company chap said, the meters are usually under your sink - it'll be by the stopcock. The other thing the company said, was that if it turned out that a water meter couldn't be fitted at my place, then they'd work with me to sort a 'single person's levy' rather than expecting me to pay the full water rates. Worth knowing, and definitely worth you following up.

Ooh, I hadn't thought of calling the water company and asking for a single person levy! Thank you. :p

It's definitely under the sink (I may or may not have filled the space next to the stop !!!! with a wine rack.....).

I'll chase it up next week, given the construction of the houses its possible they think my address actually is a 2 or 3 bed as out of the 6 in the block only 2 aren't.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Runs in to give you a quick hug, a cuppa and "molest me" biscuits to help you with your busy-ness.

    Runs out.

Runs back in and grabs a spare biscuit.

    Runs out.

Though off biscuits and chocolate for a bit as some unwashed scroatish !!!!!! has felled me with norovirus. :(Thankfully on the mend, but it'll be a while before I try anything more than basics I suspect.

Oh nooo Nora poor you! Hope you are on the mend. Maybe some lovely soups a little at a time? And a bubble bath to help you feel freshened when you're over the worst.

Will save the pralines for when you're better
