THIS CHALLENGE HAS NOW ENDED
Welcome moneysavers and debt free wannabe fans.
The object is to attempt to earn an extra £1000 by whatever means possible not associated with your regular income, so it's time to declutter and get selling, car booting, crafting, competitions, free scratchies, free bingo, saving through cashback sites and any number of other ways to trade off spending against income. My personal goal is to make everything, other than regular household associated spending, money neutral. I am not, however, the world's best seller when it comes to decluttering.
Remember, it's better to pay any extra pennies off your debts than it is to drop them in a bank. Neutralise your debts and then reap the benefits from savings. Good luck and have fun.
It's 100 days, no more and no less.

The rules are simple - you do not need to make £10 every day, you just aim to save, earn, win or raise an EXTRA £1000 over the period of 100 days. This 100 day period began on 20th July and ends on day 300 of 2009, which will be midnight on 27th October.
All income that is not part of your normal, regular income can be counted and gets used to either pay off a debt, buy something special, neutralise your current spending or to increase your savings, depending on your circumstances.
Feel free to join us and compare notes on how we each earn our extras. There's matched betting, free bingo, free scratchcards, cashback, vouchers, competitions, decluttering via online auctions & classifieds, car boot sales or you may even decide to take on a second job, set up a home-based business or start a cottage-style industry. Whatever you do, have fun finding those extra pennies that make the pounds that make the debts disappear and the rewards much richer! Above all, have a great year debt-busting and saving.
Small print - if in doubt about how this extra income may affect your current employment contract, tax, national insurance or any benefits you may receive etc, please check with the relevant agencies or authorities.
CHALLENGER LIST (Numbers in bold were amounts raised during the challenge)
Please note that the list is in alphabetical order, so numbers will change as I add new names. The 100 days ends on 27th October 2009
WELL DONE TO EVERYONE WHO SAW THE PREVIOUS CHALLENGE THROUGH TO THE END - VERY IMPRESSIVE. :T :T :T
