Adams - an anti-grabbit quick almost

I've just read on another board, by someone who claims "to know stuff but can't say much" that people should spend Adams vouchers or return items to their stores asap.
Nothing further said, but the implication is there.
I have no idea if it's got any basis in fact (and maybe this shouldn't even be posted, but if it's inappropriate, no doubt it will be removed), but at least the word is out there.

I wouldnt be suprised, it has gone so over priced, you can get far better quality items from next for the same price if not cheaper.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0

All sale stuff in order here... half price.
Shall have to wait & see............... my credit card is not down by the transaction amount, was before email stating delay.
Intriguing......0 -
The one in Lincoln has had 25% off everything for a few weeks now, and drove past the one in Grantham today and everything was reduced with huge signs in the windows, when its the run up to xmas it does seem strange as its when retailers make there money0

My local one has a closing down sale. Everything at least 75% off.

I hope my order turns up  I Dont usually shop at adams because I think its cheap tat at expensive for what you get prices. I only ordered because the kids was poorly and needed new pjs for them for christmas eve and the sale was on. :rolleyes:0

Perhaps someone more expert than me will clarify, but if you've paid for an order with a credit (not debit) card, if anything goes wrong, can't you claim a refund from the credit card company?0

have checked my order, says 11/12 ready to pick, then 11/12 pending? i shall - no doubt like many others be ringing monday morning to make sure that all is ok or not as the case may be - i did order a lot of stuff, nearly £100 and paid by egg card so should i be protected?. hopefully i shall not have to cancel but better to be safe than sorry, and the next sale is just around the corner.
adams do have a lot of sales on - i thought it a bit strange just before christmas perhaps they are trying to get in before the next sale - they must loose a lot of custom to them, hope they are not closing down, as it is always nice to have an alternative to next sometimes and there arent that many shops dedicated to just childrenswear anymore. although i do agree that they are very overpriced sometimes.
