Adams Childrenswear is part of Myriad Childrenswear Group, which is in turn ownerd by Bridgepoint Capital, a large private equity group.
This type of company sweats the assets of its group companies, to get the best return from them - hence their recent history of opening new shops and closing shops in other shopping centres, having one-off sales etc etc. It's all about cash flow and turnover - a lot of their profits will be made from reinvesting funds, not necessarily from the profits of the shops themselves.
I very much doubt Adams/Myriad is about to turn up it's toes - Bridgepoint would have sold it off if it wasn't providing a return.
Adams stores REGULARLY have big sales - not in all the stores at the same time either.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -

surely if they were closing they wouldnt hhave changed their online sale from 50% to only 30% off, also i wouldnt be worrying quite yet about the orders from the online sale some people have started to recieve theirs
quick question though if they do go bust what would happen to my adams credit card, do they demand the balance to be paid back straight away?If you want the rainbow you have to go through the rain.
