    Turtle - Have you only just opened the account? You will only have limited access until you get the activation code through the post.

    Yes thanks all, I have only just opened it. Logged in on a different computer and it asked for the activation code. This is first I've read that I needed one! Not sure why it wasn't asking for a code on the original computer though as I'd have realised why I couldn't see the link. The user experience has been poor so far but I will set up s/o from another account (this is definitely ok?) and wait patiently for the code to arrive.

    Can the receiving bank (TSB) tell whether a payment has been made by SO or manually, or could you simply make a manual payment of between £25 and £250 once per calendar month?

    The Lloyds rep on these boards has previously claimed that they can tell the difference - and TSB uses the same IT systems as them.
