I wonder what the root cause of his anger is .

I too was angry as a child but looking back upon it it wasn't through lack of love etc as I was brought up in a house of women (all aunties) , no father tho' but I was too young to realise ' the broken marriage ' thing at the time so it wasn't that .

Lets hope for his sake a solution is found as what you say is correct ,there are no better times in life than when your a carefree child .

He had a very bad 18 months with about 5 family members (not very close great aunts etc) passing away then my DH's best friend passed away. Then his little sister came along not long after that our lovely doggie passed away. He then had a hernia so had to have an operation with his little sister having an MRI scan and eye operation about 3 months later. I think it all happened within such a short space of time he hasn't really coped with it all.
Friends of ours have just split up and he keeps asking me when daddy is leaving so he just seems to be thinking the worst all the time. Fingers crossed you never know they might be discussing what help they can put in place for him xx

Have you spoken to the school SENCO? they sometimes have more time to spend with you to discuss things if they do not have a dedicated class teacher role. They could also look at the types of strategies that can be implemented to help your son, hope you manage to sort things x

Senco was involved last year I had 2 meetings with them but I had no official report at the end of the year of anything so maybe as only just going into Year 1 now she may get more involved xx

    Morning all :)

Been out and about this morning. Took DD to the library to return some books and get some more out. Not the best selection though, but we managed to find a couple.
Then it was off to our old forgotton friend Mr T. Did a shop against S, wanted some more Haagan Daz
Got some Bavaria as well, I know I'm rather late to the party but I now have 20 bottles, how's that for a stash?! ;) :rotfl:
My Sainsbobs didn't have it when it was on offer with the coupons. Doesn't work out quite as good, but 50p (after price porkies) is good enough for me :D

Off to make some lunch and have a cuppa now, I'm parched!

Good pick up on the Bavaria and the Haagans , 50 p or so for a clutch of bottles is well worth it .

Thanks for the library reminder as I'll tell Snap to make sure hers are are all stamped up before we depart .

I bought my 1st Kindle book the other day .
I was well pleased for 20p as I grew out of the habit of reading (shame on me) apart fromhobby related price guides etc , Karl Pilkington Idiot Abroad .

    A cuppa , now your talking .
I was young once , now I get older all the time .
  • I hope so he is very angry at the world and only just about to turn 6 he worries a lot and should just be enjoying being so young. It is upsetting to see and hopefully there will be a positive out of the meeting and things turn around xx

    Good morning,

Nice to see things have settled down again x

Forestroxydog, I'm sorry to hear your having problems. Do the school use a positive approach to helping? I have just completed the skills for fostering course and they advise if we foster a child who is angry to try and find a club or hobbie which they can throw themselves into, and remain positive with them (easier said than done!). If you want a chat feel free to PM me. x

((hugs)) for your little man - he sounds to be having a rough time of it one way and another. Hope he can get the help he needs soon x

I agree that it's a very nice ie cream .
    Tasty with texture .

One of my favs is from a Swansea Company called Joes Ice Cream , their vanilla is yummy and always worth a visit to their parlours if down the Mumbles or in Swansea centre .

Never visited Swansea yet - but now i have an excuse, so it would be rude not too. Thank you xx

I'm still undecided about the Kindle, was looking at them a wee while back, but just cant make up my mind. I read quite a lot, but I love books iykwim and don't know if it would be the same with a Kindle. I'm far to indecisive that's my problem!

Right, kettles boiled, really am moving now. Shall be back at half 12 for the Mars giveaway though
