  • Hello all.How is everyone?Anyone local to shrewsbury?I am camping  there tues and wed night and was wondering what kind of weather is in store for me?
  • Afternoon All,
Just thought I would mention a good deal at Tesco - for home delivery, discount code available for £10 off at £50 spend for home delivery, for new customers. If you purchase £50 worth of wine (for delivery today or tomorrow) less your £10 new customer discount, then less 25% for 6 bottles or more of wine, its possible to get your £50 wine shop for £27.50 + delivery!! (even better idea would be to buy 34 little bottles at £2.29 each less 25%, 2 for £3 and less £10 = 64p each + delivery)

  • I'm still undecided about the Kindle, was looking at them a wee while back, but just cant make up my mind. I read quite a lot, but I love books iykwim and don't know if it would be the same with a Kindle. I'm far to indecisive that's my problem!

Right, kettles boiled, really am moving now. Shall be back at half 12 for the Mars giveaway though

I love my Kindle although I still read paper books at home. The Kindle lives in my handbag and comes out at coffee shops, waiting outside school etc. It was invaluable on holiday, really reduced my luggage weight!

I have found that if you're a true book lover and really lose yourself in a book, you forget it's a Kindle and even try to turn the page in the normal way!
No, Mr A, that is NOT 'Great news'!!:D

    Wombling totals: Oct = £243.32 - £93.32 over target!
Nov Wombling Tally: £27.36 so far... behind target :(
  • Morning All

Not a great start to the week horrid rain.

DS's teacher came out this morning and asked if I would go in early to talk about his behaviour. Great I have another fun year to look forward to:(

Who would be best to get advice from would it be my local GP who would then refer us?
We had early years involved when he started school last year but then they left and advised the school needed to take over?x

    Hi Forestroxydog,

I'm a lurker on this thread from time to time but couldn't just skim through your post. Perhaps I should not admit this but I am a teacher!
It is hard to suggest what you should do as I do not know the scale of your son's behaviour or how it is affecting his school life. What I would suggest is that you do take him to the doctors and speak of your concerns there - hopefully your doctor will then be able to refer you and your son for testing if the need arises.
Your school should also have had him assessed by either an Education Psychologist or referred him to the many behaviour bases that your county should have if he is that bad. The school does need to put in place a special educational programme for him with your approval to help with any behaviour issues.
Of course you may feel that there is nothing wrong.
If you need any more advice please feel free to pm me (I actually work in the primary sector and have gone through many referrals for all sorts of educational needs)

    Sending you big hugs.

    Back to lurkdom

And a free click and collect code is available for any weekday before 26th Oct - spend over £40. But I think would work with above.
