I just wanted to share my purchasing experiencing with you.
We were after a new kitchen and bedroom furniture so did all the usual shop tours, ie B&Q, Wickes, Magnet, Ikea and MFI.
We gave up with Ikea because there was never a designer to help us, Magnet only supply if they can install, Wickes and B&Q were 6 week delivery times but then there was MFI. Were were really impressed
we had a 2 hour consultation, got a £600 dishwasher thrown in because we spent £3000 and a delivery date of only 2 weeks away - smashing!
Two days before you ring them and get a delivery slot, also the day before, customer services called to say that one unit would not be on the delivery but would follow in 10 days time. But because I was impressed with the service, it wasn't a problem. Delivery driver turned up, helped unload and went through the check list with us.
so, kitchen and bedroom furniture turned up as expected with nothing missing (except for the unit we were informed about).
So a big thumbs up from me :T

Hello JennyW
As you're so pleased with the service by MFI, I'll move your thread over to The '5 star' Service board.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

Do they do a very bad fitting service? I am thinking of going with their bathroom supply and fit service. The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket. :rolleyes:0 -
Unless you were using Tesco Clubcard Deals, it's a pity, you didn't know someone with a Howdens Account. Howdens are part of the MFI group, but for people in the trade, and their prices are always a lot better (regardless of MFI's current offer). Not to mention no waiting for deliveries, as they always have the items in stock. They now also do Bedrooms as well as kitchens, and will have people come out and do CAD plans for you too - had plans from MFI for my kitchen last year, but the Howdens ones were so much better. Just had them out for our new bedroom and am waiting on plans being sent in the post. Lucky me - husband is a joiner with a trade account. Personally I'd only buy from MFI when I've got Clubcard deals, which I've just done to purchase new suite and dining room suite - bit of a nightmare, as they messed up the delivery. Items were supposed to be delivered together on 4 July, suite delivered 4 July, Dining chairs - 1st August, and Dining Table finally on 4 September:eek: Suppose I still got £75 compo, and £1100 of order was paid by Tesco with clubcard deals - so couldn't grumble too loudly.JennyW wrote:I just wanted to share my purchasing experiencing with you.

This thread is in the 5 star service board so why do people still feel the need to have a moan
JennyW, have you considered sending a letter to the manager of the store to tell them how good the consultant was? My OH got a letter of thanks recently and she was nearly blubbing:rolleyes:0 -
I am glad that you have had a good service from MFI! We could tell you the other side of it, although i'm not going to winge. Just remember that if your other unit turns up fine then great but if it doesn't then you have a job on your hands as MFI's customer services is notoriously bad so you have to be really brutal with them.A banker is someone who lends you an umbrella when the sun is shining, and who asks for it back when it start to rain.0

WE have just recieved today our new appliances bought with tesco deals very good service they arrived at 0755 this am everything is fine except for a dent on the side of the dishwasher.so I rang customer services who where very helpfull said they could replace it, however as it won't be seen when it is fitted I asked for it to be discounted first offer 30.00 said no and asked for 50.00 and they agreed, so 50.00 back on the visa card as we paid a little on visa just incase MFI failed to deliver, so I am a very happy bunny.0
