I think if you get your telephone service from the pole (regardless of the service provider) then you wont be entitled to a wayleave payment,

correct but as landowner with no previous wayleave on such land you can exercise your rights as landowner via civil court, regardless of service provided - Local Authority will be free to a few thousand pounds ( depend on planning dept LA to LA ) for BT to buy the minimal land required, given 5 customers they will approach them all first for a wayleave payment.....if all else fails BT go to LA...or SHOULD go to LA which in cases BT fail to do, more so a quiet road with 5 houses where no traffic hold-up or general public risk is going to happen & none of neighbours will complain to BT/LA about such works
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

I don't know about getting it moved, but you should certainly contact BT and tell them to make it safe
If you would like to move any part of the BT network, you need to contact Openreach. Their email address is lpr@openreach.co.uk. Survey will be carried out prior to any commitment to move the network.

Nick, dont take payment, ask BT to move it with 3 months notice ( to allow time for a contractor & completion ) if they fail to do so - sue for £5000 in civil court & get a court order from Civil Court for ruling agreement BT will remove such within a time frame as per your agreement with civil court as an acceptable time frame ( another 3 months ? ), if BT do not adhere to ruling of said Civil Court ruling they commit a criminal offence - " contempt of court " & you can contact local police after the civil court timescale lapses & BT have not done as required by court of law - police then have power, BT's CEO arrested & taken to Criminal court for failing to comply with UK law ruling

Then people complain about BT's high prices - nice one !

not at all, money talks....if one person uses the law in their favour BT would stop messing people about with calls, forms, waiting periods....... a landmark ruling in the UK sets a stance for further court hearings of the same....BT would not have you fill forms out in future they would send someone to survey where to move it to quicker than BT price increases, service with a smile INDEED !

one call & most the work would be done on-site asap ! pity we cant enforce a one call standard on Retail or Openreach for appointments & faults, alas where we can we should

Brits dont take enough bull by the horns & get things done, its not the British way.....

EXAMPLE

I bought the NEWS OF THE WORLD today ( I know, I know ! not my usual read but as much as I no good or bad opinion of Jade Gooding the cover story sold me on NOTW, given she has 2 young kids - Cancer is such a horrible thing )

Anyhow I was reading about the MP scandel of 2nd home payments of that dour faced woman & Alisister Dahl, MP Norman Baker ( LIBS ) was saying the whole thing is a disgrace aswell as all us taxpayers know, given Community Care Grants & Loans are available to ANY UK resident - why are WE taxpayers shelling out millions on property let alone
" furnishings " aswell for MP's 2nd homes ? Community Care Grant/Loan is help to remain/establish oneself in the community so let MP's claim a CCG/loan & let DWP decide what they are entitled to VIA the same rules that apply to us mere mortal taxpayers - £1000 maximum grant or loan or mix of both, or NOTHING.

Now the thing is ANY UK resident could change things simply by presenting a Private Bill to Parliament on such, you bet NO MP would vote against it given its a PUBLIC vote........yet do you think 1 UK resident will even try ?

Housing and car subsidies are another 2 matters, but as I said ANY UK resident could make MP's follow the state rules from the DWP we all have to, claim & pray you get help !

Just everyone sit on their bum thinking someone else will take BT to court or hold your MP's accountable, they all get away with it nowhere encourage Brits to be pro-active.

Martin should lead campaigns against public bodies wasting our money & do Private Bills to eradicate such pubic perons/bodies behaviour, i'm sure all MSE user's could through him a £1 to fund such, the biggest expense UK people to pay into that you have the least control over is TAX & COUNCIL TAX, if TAX was properly budgeted along time ago POLL/COUNCIL TAX would never have existed, we taxpayers ran BT, Royal Mail etc etc at massive tax costs to us - WHERE have these savings gone ? all the while all these ex government funded companies RIP us off & taking TAX from these ex government funded bodies - you wonder why our economy is the way it is ? the last generation sat on bums & done nothing while disagreeing, yet this generation ain't much better.

Eactly why me & my family leaving the UK ? for a better life where people give a dam......
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)
