Well if you go to Lidl first, then queueing anywhere else is a doddle.:D
Just like driving in London - bumper to bumper. You daren't leave a space - 3 mm, someone gets in! I like it when they open a new till and everyone races to get there first - it's not right, it's not fair, it's shopping in Lidl.0 -
I have never used Lidl - always used to use Netto but of late the milk has been going off quick and so has the bread so swopped over to Netto.
I hate Asda quality food so they are a no go!0 -
Thanks for the heads up Triker, we only have one Asda near to us so it'll be manic _pale_
Will save the Tesco shop for Monday, although, surely if you buy online today and have it delivered next week - you'd get the discounts? It's just a gamble of which itemsNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Do you really think the supermarkets will be that much busier than normal?
I can't help but think they will just be as bad as they normally are at a weekend, but not much worse. A few price reductions on 10 items is hardly enough to spark a stampede.... Needless to say I am not looking forward to shopping this weekend...0 -
done mine online with tesco I really couldn't face the shops this weekend!!
Mind you I am bound to have forgotten something!!DEBT FREE 23/FEB/07 TWO YEAR's!! £2 £1020.00 Banked New total £268+ and counting SAVINGS 3000.00- ISA £30. :j0 -
I've just come back from ASDA, I wasn't aware of these price reductions.... argh, but it was MENTAL there, I had to queue for 20 mins before getting served, the staff looked frazzled!!! Think I'll look online...."Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

id love to be able to afford free range eggs but my budgets to the last penny, when I have spare cash i do buy free range I always buy f range chicken
I wouldn't worry smart price unlikely to be battery caged hens but barn. Free range is a bit of a con, they assess the space per bird based on the indoor plus outdoor space but engineer the huts to have ramps the birds have to go out small opening to the outside and the birds prefer to stay inside so free range hens often more cramped than barn where they assume they will be indoors. I saw an interesting computerised research project of how chickens move around various models of accommodation and was pretty shocked at the conditions for free range because of the environment engineering.0 -
Just come back from my asda, absolute nightmare it was like Xmas there.
Had all the bargains too.0
