Glasto is a horrible festival, seriously, people in the industry fight not to do it
But then that's probably because the money is truly awful. So, if you wanted to go but couldn't, consider yourselves in the 'thank god, we've avoided that one again' club
Not much going on in Toto land, other than a fair old bit of work at the moment. There is a big old tour going out next week which is taking up a lot of time. Really, just the usual summer mayhem.:A

Morning Sarah, Happy Glastonbury weekend....I bet it rains again this year. I personally can't think of anything worse, stuck in a field, needing a shower, covered in mud, yuk yuk yuk. I would have to have a big winerbago (sp) to get me to Glastonbury or for it to be hot and sunny!
Just about to take DD to the local Farm/park thing for a run around and then back home, shove the hoover and duster around, take DD to pre-school and 2 hours of me time to nip to town and sort money out.
right, must get a wiggle on Be back laterI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

I'm still battling with the band over the gig thing. We've been offered a new date of either the 29th or 30th of aug and the one guitarist is STILL refusing to do it... saying that 'it's because we're not at the standard we'd need to be for that venue, and there's nothing to suggest we would be by that date'.
I mean come on.... :rolleyes:Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Do you need a second guitar? I would take the gig with or without him, there are plenty of people out there who can play to a decent standard and would jump in. There are no mates in bands sar, if you don't or won't perform then you'll be dropped.:A

I've GOT to hoover the pit I call my house at the minute then get ready for work-I have a home measure at 12 and need to leave by 11.30 and I also have the mother of all ironing mountians that I have been ignoring and has now taken over retailiated by doubling in size overnight *sigh* I hate bluddy ironing...
Work today, and tomorrow, wedding (which I am still not sure I am going to as a Singleton) then 2 days off! woot woot!Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Morning all - its OH's birthday today so big happy birthday to him.
Not much planned for today (OH not a celebrating birthday type!) but no work for me yeay so may take daughter bowling after school (have you seen the price of it nowadays shows the last time I went bowling!) and should really make some half hearted attempt at housework before someone breaks their neck (ie me).
Glastonbury is my idea of hell - I need hotels, clean toilets and electricity (does that make me a diva) but have fun anyone who is going. x x x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Personally I would pull everyone together to discuss where they think they are going with this band. There is no point what so ever in spending time writing tunes if you are just going to play to yourselves on a sunday evening. You have masses of time between now and the end of august to get the tunes tight, so there is no excuse on that score.
I would tell them that either you work towards paying gigs or you will take your tunes, hire another couple of guitars and move on with a new band.:A

morning all...... are there 2 chat threads... oops!
Well i am shattered today. Went straight for work last night to see Sex & the city and have something to eat with my sister. It was a good night, we had a right laugh, i mean real tears and everything, it was hysterical. 3 times during the film i got the mega giggles thinking about what we were laughing at earlier... must've truly pee'd the woman next to me off....
My back is sore today. I think it's from contorting with laughter so much!
Today, work as usual, but as i'm so tired i don't think i will do much.
Erin's school sports are this morning, thankfully my mum is going to stand in for me n big g, as neither of us can get off work.... guilt trip city!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0
