So are these offers in Sainsbury's too? Going out later & there is a Sainsburys nearby so could go look there but won't get chance to go to Tesco's or Asda's.2025 - finally back comping after a stressful house move - send me fairy dust please0

I've noticed Asdas price hikes too, alot of my regular purchases have gone up and down like yo-yo's. For example, on one occasion Asda's 24 pk freezable Rolls were £1.00, the following week they'd gone up to £1.35
, then week later were back down to £1.00! Don't do SP bread, DH won't entertain it, and don't do SP eggs - go for the free-rangers. Usually stick to Berttolli spread, although the price hike for it is riduculous, it had been £2.08 in Tescos, so left it to check Asdas the other week, and they had it on offer at £1.00 for the 500g, so bought 4 :j . It's back up to £1.86ish now. 2017 - no clutter to be seen challenge: 72/2017
Weight loss the old style way challenge - 7/14lbs :j0 -
If it's only for three days then it's a con.
Just a gimmick to get free publicity in the media and places like here. I think they're just rotten - it will all be back to full price tomorrow.0 -
Asda Folkestone. 10.05 Sunday morning. No Butter, No Sausages, No New Potatoes. Two Mince loads of bloomers!!!
Find this happens a lot with Asda, publicise an offer and then the shop never has the goods.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -
I got caught out with this one. I picked up a (seeded) 800g bloomer, and thought that as the shelf said 50p, that it would scan at 50p. It didn't, but scanned at £1.09. I got the obvious response from CS, and so suggested that they stack there shelves more carefully, as the seeded must have been in the 'normal' shelf.
I could not find any of the other 50p items either.0 -
the 50p things were still available at Asda today. So the Piel de Sapo melons were still 50p and there's a coupon in the current Asda magazine (the one with strawberry desserts on the front) for 30p off these melons. Got a couple of lovely big melons for 20p each, can't be bad :j0

i went and only got the bannanas and tomatoes as the rest was out of stock and the smartprice bread i saw was less then 40p anyway i think
what did annoy me though was that the packets of quick cook pasta have doubled in price since my last visit :O they are now 79p and im sure they were only 39p last time i was in there
a friends MIL works at asda and she was saying they put the roll back on highly purchased items by about a penny or so so it looks like they are reducing prices but add loads more onto the other things which you wouldn't notice unless you bought them every week
disgusting, so i have now desserted asda and am going to use iceland and local fresh shops from now on as im sick of being ripped off - i will still pop into tesco just for the mad bargains they seem to have on all the time as you can pick up some right good buys0 -
