Just booked 2 nights in York in the new year (4th-6th Jan) for a family of five for £20! (Might be cosy in the room!)
Looks like it could be a mini mse members meet!
Shall we all wear a carnation!
Many thanks to Smartasss for the heads up.0 -
Thanks so much for this - just booked 2 nights in Bath in the New Year and will be treating my mum - what with the cheap hotel, I'll be able to spoil her with shopping - and New Year bargains at that ;D0

Hairy hat man - - you need to check about 5 in a room, as I dont think they will let you, its not about the room but to do with fire regulations, sorry not trying to be a kill joy, but I would hate you to turn up and be refused!!

Thanks, smartasss!! Madame DS and I will be returning home from the UK during this period, and I have just booked a room at the Ashford Travelodge for 3 January. There were no double rooms left, and I had to book a family room.
Now what's all this about parking fees, and where do you find the info? I looked at the Ts & Cs, but no mention there.
Edit: Duh! Just found this on the Ashford hotel's own page: "Parking available free of charge on site."Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good. - Thomas Sowell, "Is Reality Optional?", 19930 -

Thanks for the warning, but I had already confirmed that our 2 yr old twins don't add to the room head count - especially seeing as they'll be in travel cots still. This has been confirmed as OK by central reservations and the lodge in question.
Thanks for your concern
