I recently returned to this company after relieving them of my custom for a while due to the poor service and on going lies of which on two occasions they told me goods had been sent by special delivery when in fact they had'nt got them in stock or not in the warehouse. Last week I sent them an email praising them for the improvement in the service, a little premature I realise as the past week as proven me wrong. Last thursday they informed me that my order was'nt sent due to it not being in stock dispite them saying it was being tracked and on its way and yesterday their sales team called me three times, twice assuring me that Royal Mail said I would receive it yesterday afternoon of which today I still hav'nt received the item today dispite paying for special delivery of which they are refunding.

WWW.SVP .CO.UK won't reply to my 5 emails today so I am none the wiser.

I received somebody else's 100-disc spindle of CD-Rs the other day from SVP! Were they yours?

I decided to be honest and let SVP know what had happened, especially because someone else's invoice was in the box and I assumed that they had lost out.

The fact that I have received excellent service from SVP in the past (and, for all you cynics out there, that I had signed for the goods too!) also influenced me to own up.

Anyway, they are sending a courier to collect the discs - a daft idea I think, seeing as this will cost them more than the discs are worth, but anyway, it's fair enough as the expense is theirs.

More importantly, they are sorting my own order out ASAP and I have every faith in them getting it right.

I'm sorry to hear that you had bad experiences with SVP, COS, but I'd just like to let other readers of this site know that I have had excellent service from them and others should not be put off from ordering.

My first posting above is a totally different order to the issue below.


Dispite still waiting for my other goods ordered last Wednesday, SVP tell me this morning that they have been delivered and signed for last Tuesday, I then remembered the story of HG Well The time machine and it leaves me astounded, just think SVP can now deliver the day before the order is placed wow.

Sorry I am so annoyed with this company as all I  have been told is lies and this is not the first time as on two other occasions, they admitted the items had not been sent . Their were also problems with the courier  interLink of which I refuse to use when ever possible


If anyone orders from this company insure you are receiving the correct delivery service that you pay for as this is a company that seems to make many errors in this department and then tell alot of untruths.

This company told me today that the goods had been delivered two days ago and then they apoligised as they had got it wrong, they now tell me it was dellivered at 13.38pm today but according to my CCTV tape there has been no delivery let alone a Royal Mail card, Sam from SVP reponse is that on the royal Mail site it has been delivered and its up to me to go and collect it from the delivery office.

I am amazed at the attitude of this company >:(

Credit where credits due.

A phone call received this evening from SVP has certainly reassured me that the problems I have experienced over the past weeks are to be addressed and put right.

I still have not received the order but have been assured that it will be sent with a big box of chocs ;D ( sorry I had to put that as I know the boss of the company will be reading this later) I accept that sometimes delivery problems do occur of which it appears this one is down to Royal Mail as they say that they attempted to deliver the item but evidence suggest otherwise.


I'm not a happy Carrot but at least I finally received some answers  :)

its a shame this has happened but i dont think SVP deserve to be here, over the years i've ordered a ton of stuff from them and they have always been very quick, reliable and very well priced, they are the only company that i use these days for any CD's that i need or cd/dvd related hardware and cases, and i would recommend them to anyone, i guess nothing goes smoothly 100% of the time though

Fragster. SVP are excellent in many ways and now that the truth has come to light Royal Mail are to blame as there tracking service states a delivery had been attempted today of which I and SVP know is untrue.

SVP have made mistakes over the past weeks of which they are reviewing and they have also took on board my complaints.

This evening I received a telephone call from the owner of SVP who was sincere and could not be more sorry, I appreciate that very much as that one action speaks millions.

I have found SVP to be more than competitive in the past often cutting some items by at least 50% this being the reason why I returned to them.

SVP now have this address and if they drop in from time to time it may give them a window to view any gripes or compliments. I now expect a new order to arrive Tuesday and should the other order arrive I can keep it with out charge. I also have a direct contact should any problems arise of which I hope should'nt be needed.

Maybe I'm just lucky, but SVP have never let me down. Very fast service and good value. The occasional duff disk on a big spindle but that's the risk you take with some of the non-brand name bulk orders.

I would appreciate any info regarding what is the best DVD Blank disk to buy in bulk as I am trying out the RIDISC with the mauve and silver face of which seem to do a good job. may be a note on the referral section or a direct message as not to clog this board.

Ritek = Good, Bulqpak = Bad. (in particular, Riteks using the G04 dye. Basically any disk under 35p is taking a risk. I have never had a problem with Riteks.

I am shocked. I called Royal mail today to enquire the where abouts of the item they collected from SVP last Wednesday. They told me it had been collected and taken from their office Thursday but dont know where it went, they then explained it can now be found at their local office and would I like to collect it, I reminded them of the fact I had paid 24 hour delivery  and also their tracking site said there was an attempt to deliver it Saturday 13.38., they have disagreed with this as they say their information is inconclusive, I questioned what he meant and he said you can't rely on the information as it is inconclusive. My request for the parcel to be delivered today was denied as they only work to midday.

The information was given to me by Royal Mial customer services of which I called using the number on their web site, unbelievable
