I just had to post to also add my condolences and express my sympathy to you and your family. I cannot imagine how your are feeling but my heart goes out to you and your family.

Although I am more of a lurker than a poster on this thread these days, and I don't know anyone personally, the thread has developed a bond between everyone and the wonderful, thoughtful, messages on this forum have had me in tears. You are in everyone's thoughts and prayers and I hope that is of some comfort to you.

I know it will take time but the good memories will hopefully help to ease the grief soon.

God bless you all and RIP little Thomas.

Our thoughts are with you all.

    Morning all

Sorry to bug u all again but did anyone work out what would work for my No7 vouchers??

Its the facial suncare one that bugs me! Would I b able to use that on the lip screen thingy?? as its obviously only for ur face?? Sorry I must sound such a dunce!!

I used the one for 500 points on facial suncare towards two no7 lip screens. I also bought a third item for 6 pounds (no7 is 342), and even though one of the lip screens came off as the free third item, I still got my 500 points. And I used 200 points on no7 suncare from the current Boots mag (the one that ends Monday). Neither of the coupons beeped.

I agree we do need a cut off date, but we also need to make sure that everything that is sent does get passed on to Jill.
I'm not sure of the scale of this but perhaps Nettienoo could kindly make a list of the people she has received donations from? Or send a pm maybe? I posted mine today but only had a second class stamp so it may take a while
Maybe we can send a cheque for all monies received by Saturday, and then maybe do another cheque a little while later if there are any stragglers??
What do people think? It's really up to Nettienoo as she is the one kindly taking the time to organise it!

Just got to ask, does any one else find the sales assistants in boots are totally split into 2 sorts, there doesn't seem to be any middle ground in my local little shop? they're either really friendly, happy to try any vouchers and pleased at how your total drops/points go up, or you get ones who act as if it's all coming out of their wages and hate vouchers!

Had a wander round yesterday to see if they'd filled the shelves with any more of the bargains (they hadn't) but got a couple more tb bits, lomi scrubs, and a ug shine thing, and a couple of them were actually clearing the old bargain sels of the shelves  (and ours never had many of them to start with lol) and as I walked round obv just putting the reduced things in my basket they were having a right old chunter about it (paranoid, moi? ;) )

Yet at the counter the sa couldn't have been nicer, chatting about the tb bargains she'd got after christmas and a 'you did well' when my bag of bits went from nearly £10 to £2.** with various vouchers (got some free photos too).

just need to get the acm to spit out some more ug vouchers now as they seem to have dried up

sorry, no new find, just a bit of a ramble!

Yes, everyone should strive to send contributions by Saturday, but of course I'm sure anything that arrives late Nettienoo will send off in a second cheque later (let's try to send these off soon, though, she so can do it all in one go if possible). Also, people should include a note with their cheque saying who they are on the board so Nettienoo can let you know she got your cheque (as in, I included a note, signed my name, then put "aka Skibster").

Sounds like a good idea re cut off date being Saturday guys.
2 cheques may indeed have to be sent cos of said stragglers, but i'm sure Nettie will know what's best to do. :A Good idea on the note too Skibs.

Polls - Thank you so much for posting up them replies from Jill. It's really lovely to know she is reading them and taking at least some small comfort in.

I managed to get 3 UG vouchers , however the ACM has dried up, however a new way to use your till spits from 02/07/08 would be to use ACM voucher for 250 pts on model me and voucher from haircare insert in mag for 250pts on model me, purchase a shampoo for £4.99 then use till spit so get 500pts for £2.99 spend, obviously not as good as the UG glitch but a good one for points if you need shampoo and can't get the JK nail files or have enough of them.

  • I just thought it would be a nice idea to give this thread the credit it deserves especially this month in paticular so I have nominated it as post of the month - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=12072169&postcount=38
Will not spend more money:naughty:, but will spend more time looking for that great bargain!
