So sorry to hear about Jill's loss, I'm pretty new on this thread but can already tell how giving and caring everyone is.

Life is unfair. Thinking of Jill, Thomas, Jill's mother and her family and friends.

Thank you for letting us know.

I am sorry, started at page 2 where I left off yesterday and just found out after reading through all messages. Sorry  for wittering on about my stuff....

    Jill

My heart broke when I read about your beautiful child, my DS is eight months old and it would break my heart if anything happened to him. I cried all through the messages and am crying again now.

If there is anything we can do, please let us know, I am sending you healing thoughts to ease the pain, even though nothing can take away the pain of losing your beloved child.

He is playing in heaven with the angels and smiling down on you at this very moment with love in his heart for you and your wonderful family.

    Tragic News

Hello ladies, I have something to tell you and it is hard to find the words to say this to you. But one of our Girls has contacted me with some tragic news. She has asked if I can post a message here on her behalf.

Livermumof2 whose name is Jill, has had a tragic bereavement, she has lost her beautiful baby boy Thomas.

Thomas was just 8 months old and he died on Wednesday Morning of Meningitis.

Jill said "He got meningitis and fought for 3 long hours but he couldn't keep fighting. It was so sudden and quick." She is devastated and is feeling so lost and I am trying to support her by posting this message for her.

Jill posted recently that her Mum is due to undergo major surgery for secondary Cancer, so she was already under great pressure anyway. Her world has fallen apart.

No words can take away her pain, for there is no pain like the death of your much adored child, It is a pain like no other bereavement, but perhaps we can support her with our thoughts, prayers and kind wishes.

She has already, in her thoughtfulness apologised to me if she does not answer my PM's, which in itself will show what kind of a brave woman she is, and as Jill said to me :A " My life revolves around my kids" :A

I cannot find any other words to say except that life is so very cruel at times, and none of us should ever, ever take it for granted. Thanks

Oh Jill, i'm sure you won't see this but i am so very very sorry. This post has made me cold and i can't even begin to imagine what you're going through.

Thinking of you all at this time.

    Sleep tight Thomas

Hooohum, still feel so depressed. Had trouble sleeping last night worrying about poor Jill :(

I would love to do something for her in true bootsing style! Do you think I (or we if any of you kind souls could help) could maybe put together some sort of hamper for her with Love from all at the boots board?
People could maybe send small things they perhaps have duplicates of, anything from boots, then i'd arrange a massive hamper and send it to her? I don't mind paying the postage at all. :A
I dont know how things like this work, I have all the best intentions and i'm sorry if it sounds a bad idea :(
But I'm just aching to do something positive as i feel so down... :(

SK that sounds a really lovely idea.
I was in tears reading Polls post- losing a little one so young is just devastating. My thoughts are with Jill and her family, and I can't even begin to imagine what they are going through right now.

Count me in- I'd love to help out.

Also, if in time Jill wants to set up any kind of fund for Thomas to raise money for Meningtis, I would love to support that too.
