phone asking for password?
I've just received a samsung phone I bought on ebay, it was listed as locked to Virgin & T Mobile.
I put my T Mobile card in and it asked for a password - does this mean the phone wont accept T Mobile or is this password to do with something else?
The actual message is "SP password"
Please help!

have you tried asking the person you bought it from.....

yes, he said try a virgin sim card, which is impossible......0

Try 4 zeros, that is usually the default code.

did the description state it was unlocked........?
i would hazard a guess that he used a virgin sim card in it, which may mean that it is locked to the virgin networksmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

it stated could be used on virgin & tmobile
i think it's Service Provider lock, so I guess this is something that can be rectified at a phone shop? (I've tried the unlock codes given on here but doesnt work)0 -
sounds like it is not unlocked. what model is it?
i think virgin use the same band as tmob (cant remember) so he maybe getting confused with that0 -
I don't know if anybody else does this but I lock my phone and my sim. When I turn the phons on it asks for the sim unlock code when thats successful it then asks for the phone unlock code. If someone else was to try and use their sim card in my phone they could give their correct sim pin but it would then ask for the phone lock pin and if they didn't know this it wouldn't work.
Is the phone asking for the other code after your sim? Or does SP code maybe stand for service provider code?£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

It's Service Provider Code, so I'm guessing this should be unlockable?0
