I have been very good and have £100.00 out my wages into the works christmas saving every month - so on the last day of November I will be getting £1200.00 cash!!
Obviously I wont spend all that on Christmas so the left over will go on debt payments. I did the same last year and it really helped to budget - when you see it in cash you dont want to part with it!

Mrs D - have pm'd you. You rock, never forget that.
As for Xmas, my daily click account is looking quite healthy, I've got nearly a fiver on Boots card (only use them for nappies, so not bad) and have £50 in vouchers from Pigsback so should be sorted. Plus I make a lot of gifts - just put a load of mango chutney in the slowcooker to be stored for Xmas, and I like to put together little hampers for people.
But to say 6 payslips is a very scary way of putting it!This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

I don't recognise that Christmas even exists (not for religious reasons, I just hate it) and I am hopeful for spending this year on my own - bliss - keeps on getting hijacked by family but am determined to hold firm this year.
I only buy presents for two people so that will be OK too - hurrah: little planing needed for that£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

i absoloutly love christmas and now ive got my little boy its even better. this christmas ill hae my daughter as well wich i the best christmas present ever.
i started my christmas shopping yesterday much to the amusement of everyone around me but i was well chuffed. got 2 really unusuall tins of crayons for ds and nephew that cost £1 each from the works and also a photo album for mil that is suede and says my grandchildren, wich she will love as she likes things like that.
hoping to keep it up now as the months go by. if things go right (wich they never ever do) im going to be able to have a great christmas. usually have vouchers from diferent sites and boots points wich sort everyone and leaves just the 4 of us to sort for christmas.
hoping to be a bit better of as well by then wich will be great ill be so happy to have some debts gone. cleared 1 so far this year so fingers crossed the rest will follow.back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed :beer:0 -
Only got about £95 saved so far
but at least I do have some saved I guess!
Did quite a good frugal job at Xmas last year, didn't hurt anywhere near as much as I thought it would! This year I intend to do the same, but also actually record how much I spend..... Should have about another £120/£150 saved by then....
Hopefully should be DF by then too, so may have a bit more money to play with....'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0
