Its six months to Christmas eve what are you debt free Xmas plans?

Just looked at my countdown and realised we are halfway there. I checked my spreadsheet for surveys and I have £368.50 towards Christmas but £60 of that is Supermarket stuff and I a few Amazon bits that I will be pinching later this month.

How is everyone else planning or going?

    Wow thats brilliant! :T

I am not planning owt yet. I normally get all my pressies about 1-2 months before. Most are from Boots (3 for 2). I know it sounds lame but you can get so many good things there. And then i normally just try and find a couple of bits online that are quite personal.

I tend to go over my dads for Christmas dinner, so only need to take something like afters. And thats me.

I cant believe its only 6 months away.

I use Boots 3 for 2 too - but with survey vouchers even better!

We are a family of 5 so Christmas is a bit of a campaign.

eek! I'm not at all planned this year - well I've been squirrelling money aside to cover christmas but haven't made any plans regarding presents.

I tend to start in Septmeber (work is quiet and I get to take a lunch hour), working out who to buy for, how much to spend etc.. I go on holiday in November with the fossils and use that week to finish off (last minute bits and pieces).

That's my plan and i'm sticking to it!

Now that was the reaction I expected :rotfl:

You would be more depressed if I told you it was 3 months away - you could thank me for it later :A

We are thinking of going away as our family trashed last xmas AGAIN.

Anyway here it tends to work like this... we give each child £30 my mum does the same and FIL does £40 so thats £100 each, I have five children! In addition I spend £10 stockings and xmas food and drink is paid for using one 4 week period of child benefit. Last yr we grouped a lot of the money together and got the kids a pc.

No money saved as yet tho.
Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!

We don't have anyone round for Christmas just those that live in the house. I am estranged from my family and hubbys family is just his mother who lives 100 miles away and she won't visit expects us to go up there so she has to wait till we can make it.

Christmas, urgh. We have about £100 put aside for food so far and we all pay for our own presents to each other.

I might just go abroad over Christmas

My plan is simple - if I haven't got any money to spend on it, tough! The rest of my family are pleading poverty at the moment so I'm going to join them. I'm not really interested in Christmas anyway so will just get a couple of presents for family. The way I'm going, I may have about £30 saved so I'm not going to get much :)

Me and hubby never buy each other stuff we spend ipoints on each other - its a bit of a competition as to who gets the most and how wisely we spend them. If it wasn't for surveys we both do christmas would be forever cancelled! Like my birthday ;)
