Oh Sar, what a pair of pain in the bums!

Best advice i could give would be to massage their ego's for a couple of days, explain it was a vote of confidence, a last minute thing, for everyone's benefit, if anything it is you as vocals who should be nervous (you do vocals don't you?)

Noone is even looking at them, and listening to them only if their lucky. I think it is only really musical people who really notice the rest of the band individually. it's really about the vocals, the atmopsphere and the combined bands talent!

30 minutes, c'mon we know it's nothing... but rather than blast into them, some smoothing over should do the job. Maybe get a rock minded mate to come to next rehersal and give some feedback to them and reassure them that the public will love them...

Another tack, is to say - "do you not think the rest of us are any good like?" You could guilt them into playing!!!!!!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

    Good morning all!
Gorgeous weather here, washing out, bedroom totally blitzed, dishwasher on the go and a huge pile of ironing which I'm trying to ignore.

IA - Are the chaps ever going to feel completely ready? It's a great idea to set a date for a gig and work to it! otherwise it'll go nowhere!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Right well I'm not dwelling now. I'm having a proactive morning.. have done my tax return, sorted out my AS account and done my order, called various people for various reasons and organised to nip into the tattooists tomorrow to brainstorm and price up my tattoo. I've decided that I was something in memory of my mum. She used to love anything native american and seeing as I've already got the paw I was thinking something along the lines of a dreamcatcher with more (smaller) bear paws.... hmmm..
