    Hi Thomas01155,

Many thanks for your input:T. I've heard of Linux, but the most I know is that it's free, downloadable and doesn't depend on Mr Gates:eek:. Are you able to run all your normal programmes with it, like say Quark? I know it's an Apple Mac programme, but we have a PC version and just wonder if getting a version to run with Linux might be nigh on impossible?

    Thank you.

Quark Xpress is normally an Apple Mac programme - it's the newspaper industry's standard DTP package.

    Thanks

Hi Thomas, sorry for the confusion, no - although Quark is an Apple Mac programme - and when I worked I used a Mac, there's a PC version and I'm using that.
