Many thanks for your input:T. I've heard of Linux, but the most I know is that it's free, downloadable and doesn't depend on Mr Gates:eek:. Are you able to run all your normal programmes with it, like say Quark? I know it's an Apple Mac programme, but we have a PC version and just wonder if getting a version to run with Linux might be nigh on impossible?

Quark Xpress is normally an Apple Mac programme - it's the newspaper industry's standard DTP package.
