• Not sure how I ended up on ShopperDiscount but last week my bank texted me querying an online payment of £10. Don't know what prompted that but very glad they did. Anyway, their fraud dept followed it up with me today and have refunded me the money and are reporting it as fraud.

Would like to know how ShopD got my details as I always untick or tick boxes relating to passing on details etc.

Don't know if it will help anyone else but try reporting it to your bank.

My daughter got caught out with Vistaprint! They took money of her for months!

I had heard about Vista Print but needed an adress stamp and they had the best price.

I asked for help on here and was advised to go via paypal when paying.

For some reason, as long as you say "no" to every offer (and continue to ignore every email you get from them- they are not hard to find, they always start with your first name in the subject name) and no to every new offer, Vista Print wont bother to set up a system in order charge you further for months on end. Think it could be as paypal warn you on every thing you buy that is being charged to your card, and also that they tend to work in favor of the customer: if you place a complaint, they get the money straight back from the company without asking first.

Think Vista Print getting a taste of their own medicine feels like a very good idea!

VistaPrint are notorious for this. My friend got caught out and as she's not as frugal as me just decided to let it go.

I agree a list would be ideal.

booked flights through ebookers, got the offer of the discount, clicked through it and saw what it was and closed the page. today £10 on our credit card statement, apparently if you enter you email address on the £10 page it allows them to take the money off your credit card you used with Ebookers !!!! they are refunding the £10 cannot believe we got stung by this.
  • I too have been signed up for £10 a month with this company. I bought some items from electricshopping.com yesterday and on completion of my order was taken to a link - don't know how I ended up doing this.

I only realised this had happened when I got an email from this company welcoming me to the scheme - with details of the charges. How can this be right - can I cancel - the terms and conditions are as long as my arms and quite confusing?

Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated.
  • Another victim!

Like everyone else, I just checked my bank account (online) and there's a £10 payment taken out on 10th October from my account. It was because I bought something from the "Easylife" mail order catalogue.

I have sent a Email to customerservice@shopperdiscounts unsubscribing and requesting a refund, so let us see what happens from here.

I too fell for this on ebookers site. All I did was tick a box and enter my email for a further discount with ebookers if i booked again within 30 days. I did not give my credit card details to shopperdiscounts.co.uk, I was unaware that ebookers would pass on my credit card details I used for my booking onto shopperdiscounts.co.uk. shopperdiscounts.co.uk then deducted £10 per month until I realised.

I have since contacted the Office of Fair trading which I advise everyone effected to do...08454 04 05 06 they have told me they will refer shopperdiscounts.co.uk to trading standards if they receive enough complaints.

Lets stop this from happening again!
