Anyone sold a car for cash?

My OH is looking to sell his car for cash and buy a cheaper one, he doesn't have the patience or time to sell privately (ebay etc) and would ideally like somewhere that gives you cash as he can't be without a car for any time - he uses it constantly for work. Any ideas? Most of the places I have found online sound dodgy…

Owning a cheap 12 year old Fiesta I thought I didn't want the hassle of taking loads of chavs for test drives. I asked a dealer if they would buy it and they offered £100! It was old but in really good knick so I politely declined. I put it in Auto Trader later and the next morning it was gone and I had £700.
