Anyone sold a car for cash?

Options
My OH is looking to sell his car for cash and buy a cheaper one, he doesn't have the patience or time to sell privately (ebay etc) and would ideally like somewhere that gives you cash as he can't be without a car for any time - he uses it constantly for work.

Any ideas? Most of the places I have found online sound dodgy and we don't want to get really ripped off. webuyanycar.com have given a good price but been put off by other people's stories of dealing with them.

We live in the warwickshire area but would be willing to travel up to about an hour to get a better deal.

  • put it in autotrader and tell him to stop being so lazy. If he really is that lazy put it in on a friday night with a hefty discount and it will be gone buy sat lunch time

Could you just answer my question, please?

He works Saturdays anyway so no point unless you get the same result on a saturday night.

The shortest auction listing on ebay is 1 day - 24 hours. We don't have that long to get it sorted.

If you were going ahead, don't rule them out - worked out very well for me using them, as long as you were honest with your assessment up front, and have an idea in mind of the minimum you'll accept below that price - they'll always find something you don't see, but they are upfront about how much they'll take off per dent etc. What car is it - the anecdotal evidence I've seen is that they'll only really be interested in cars they can see on easily. If there's plenty of that model on the CarCraft website it may be worth exploring further. Sold mine to them for £5400, was up on their website for £6899 a week later.
