Redsquirrel's 'Striving For Better Days' Diary

Well a no spend day today, so 18 days to go with my £20. Might have to resort to the bin raiding if I keep eating the way I am - I blame the running! May have made a small mention of this on other threads today but I did 6 miles this morning - actually feel like I'm getting somewhere with it at last!
Started my mum's scarf for Christmas today, shouldn't take too long.
Currently munching mozzarella and olives and trying to decide whether to stay up and watch the lovely Stephen Fry, or go to bed and read.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Mozzarella and olives on £1 a day! I love the sound of that.... like the sound of having a read in bed too, actually - I think my bedroom's too cold, tbh.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Well they were bought last week
Mind you it was Sainsburys basic mozzarella which is less than 50p, and 63p a jar olives so.....
Yeah I decided that bed was calling too - my room's not warm, but once I get under the blankets with hot water bottle it's quite cosy!
Normal sort of Monday here - got to go to the bank later and pay part of the scary phone bill. Hoping not to spend any money otherwise - I have food packed and the weather looks decent enough to walk.
Have a good day all xDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Hope you have a good day, don't forget to forage when you are out on your walk!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -

Hmm.. on the route to and from work, I could investigate the bins of Sainsburys, Waitrose and Tesco, and a wide variety of pubs, there's a few apple trees.. and lots and lots of grey squirrels... :rotfl:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
