It could be a joke post because there are suspicious bits to it - how it's been written.

"207" properties between her and her friends, squealing about it being rightful to be her pension, treated criminal - all things which press my anger buttons.

    Patsy meaning "dupe" or "scapegoat".

But she was doing it for the children! ... and stopping the children of 32 other families (64 if that's couples) getting their own home.

    Dog eat dog world :P.

Now she is the one going to get eaten... and not a little bit... eaten WHOLE.... all money all funds... everything she built... gone... re-transferred back to the truly normal people struggling because of people like her.

This is justice and i do not weep for her at all.

could well be a joke but my guess is there are plenty who can relate to 'patsy's' position and are too shame-faced to post anywhere.

I've nothing against the long-term experienced LL who treats his/her tenants properly. their cautious planning and sense of reason deserve reward.

but to all the 'patsys' out there: you're going to have plenty of time to reflect on the folly of your rapacious greed and blundering stupidity from the (dis)comfort of your HA - provided flats.

you've all been well and truly suckered.

Just got banned again from singing pig. :rotfl:

Last ban lasted 24 hours a couple of weeks ago. They don't like it when people expose the dangers in the sector.

Are those that hate BTLers just jealous as they had guts to follow an idea and it is something they wished they had the courage to do in their own life?

Ok I've never admitted this before, but yes LLs with lots of properties did make me feel somehow inadequate.

I had 4 B2Ls and kept questioning why it was others I met had 10, 20, 50 or 100. What was it about them that I lacked? How did a humble little old lady I know own 100 properties in expensive commuter belt town - was she really that clever? How was it they could aquire so many properties but I could never make the figures work on more than 4?
Was I thick or something? (probably, in view of my occupation)

How did these genius's build such big portfolios so quickly?

Well now I have my answer; They took ridiculous risks and paid too little attention to downside risk. It wasn't intelligence, business acumen or courage.

    It was simple blind faith.:rotfl:
  • I can't help but wonder, (gosh, I came across all Carrie Bradshaw there!) won't it just happen again eventually? I mean, when prices drop, won't people start speculative buying again, knowing that they can make money from property because "it worked before, only this time I'll be more savvy having learned from my mistakes"? (I put that in quotes because it's not something I'd consider)

I've just looked at your singing pig posts and they're no different to many posted here for months.

but - oooooooooooh! - they don't like being told, now do they!

singingpig is like one big group hug in the last chance saloon.

tell them that it would be safer to go for a dip in barrymore's swimming pool than be in their position and they come over all huffy.

to get myself banned from this care home for the over-leveraged would indeed be an honour.

where will they get the money from to 'speculatively' buy ?

the cash rich will be okay

but the mass hordes who piled into BTL on the back of mew'ed deposits (and I'm sorry I've seen the light, this is the majority of BTLers in the past 2-3 years), they have no chance of raising the capital for 'speculative' property purchases in a rapidly declining market
