Morning all, welcome to all the new people and welcome home to those who've been missing, we do worry when you disappear!

Hopeless Cook your avatar made me smile this morning, she's so cute!
Toonie happy birthday for tomorrow, have a lovely day at the Zoo, I haven't been to the one in London since I was about 4 when we moved up here, before that I was an almost permenant resident with a season pass and a panda obsession, I will hopefully go back one day.

I've managed to phone round frantically and find out where I am going, it's where I thought it was, phew! Meeting starts at 10am so I best get a wriggle on, posh lunch included so that's good, finishes 1pm so will have to dash back and do some assignment work, dogs been out and kids off to school, might throw a laundry load out on the line now before I dash, must remember to put the bin out aswell.

Have a nice day everyone xx
One day I might be more organised...........

Looks much better already, will do floor when LO is at nursery. Must remember to defrost chicken for dinner!
Really need to get my room prepped for painting this week, first though need to get all hubbys tools into the hall cupboard. He has about 3 massive toolboxes of stuff, all in the bedroom! It looks and smells like a shed, grrrr.

We were thinking of having our gas fire whipped out and an open fire put back in. Many many years since I had an open fire..is soot droppage (sp!) a major issue?

The chimney needs sweeping every year but it's not too expensive. I don't think this one has been done for a very long time - the previous tenant didn't even do much cleaning as the place was filthy when we moved in 5 months ago (and when the weather warmed up we found fleas here too :eek::eek:. Not sure how to get rid of them though:confused:).

Fleas! Get the good powder from a pet shop and treat EVERYTHING. Get sprays and do curtains, all the cubby hole type corners, sofas, everything! Do mattresses and bedding. Then do it again about a week later. Our old cat was allergic to fleabites, so we used to have an early warning before they got too ingrained, but they used to be brought in by little girl from next door

Okay, bracing myself - off to garden while DS naps - the place looks like more than 60 mph winds hit! I wouldn't mind, I'm not garden-proud, but it looks like an earthquake hit.

    Hugs
