Cooked at lunchtime today as OH and the younger 2 having lunch out before heading home. Lamb chops and the first couple of pots from the garden with homegrown sugar snaps and mange tout - getting a bit sick of them now!

Really Really cross with myself. There were hardly any elderflowers left - all dropped and lots of the strawberries have started to rot due to lack fo picking. I must learn to stop putting things on lists and not doing them!

    Where is my list?

It has taken me six hours to deep clean the snug! I am filthy, but it is spotless for the first time since the chimney/fireplace/wod burning stove was done. I have dusted what feels like thousands of books. DH has finished pointing the other bit of bedroom wall so hopefully we will the partition up next weekend. We have gone back to exposed limestone on the gable end - he has replaced and brushed abck the lime mortar, and it is absolutely beautiful. Poor DH, I now have ideas about every room having some exposed stone!

Ideas please- what do I use to clean the wood burning stove? I have just dusted it down for the minute. Black cast iron type.

and opinions please. Re-designing top floor, victorian stone built long house, can't afford architect opinion. Going forward we will have five bedrooms - one large double, two small doubles, long single plus one other. The fifth bedroom can be small (9 x 9 plus a built in wardrobe), or it can be a small double - all five bedrooms are occupied. Would you choose a big bathroom or a big fifth bedroom? We will have one en suite eventually plus this family bathroom. If we go for the smaller bathroom do we make it a shower/wet room so it feels bigger, and put the roll top bath in the en suite as only I use the bath? any thoughts welcomed.

Hope everyone is ok, I have read through but the thanks button isn't working.

Kleeneze do a thing that you paint on and it makes it black again.. personally I like them looking 'used' so mine will NEVER be cleaned! hubby says he'd use blackboard paint!..

To clean the inside.. I'd get out Henry his sucking ability is second to none and removes all debris in a few minutes..

Prettypennies - my kids' bedrooms aren't that tidy even after they've tidied them - you've done really well.
