What the hell am I doing on the computer?!?!? I have been shopping all morning as it's my sisters 21st tomorrow and I had to get her prezzies and stuff. My kitchen is such a pigsty it's unreal and I'm supposed to be hosting a birthday BBQ for her tomorrow as well as baking her a very fancy birthday cake this afternoon    and for some strange reason instead of making a start on it, I find myself on the computer reading through what all of you have done today and posting about how little I have done :o

    I just cannot get motivated!!

Does anyone else have a major problem with washing?? I don't have any probs with dirty washing. I think it's because I have so much to do that it's second nature to put more on when I empty the washing machine, but clean washing is taking over my house!!! I don't iron clothes for me or OH so I usually hang the stuff up when I bring it in off the line and then it sits around in my kitchen waiting to go upstairs. The kids stuff all hangs around waiting to get ironed and I've got a basket that sits on my kitchen table with all the underwear etc waiting to get sorted out.

Do you think I'd be better just to hang up all the kids clothes too and only iron as I need them?

Johanne - How's the wee one now? Ok I hope, sounds like a sore one, but it's not your fault so don't feel like a bad mum

Pigpen - Have you got any fruit lying out? I had loads of those little flies in the house last year and eventually realised it was because I had a fruit bowl sitting on the side in the kitchen. Apparantly they're fruit flies and very common this time of year

Anyway enough blethering, I REALLY need to go and do SOMETHING.

cookie, jen - me too! at least it was until two years ago. It took a huge change of attitude by me, and lots of support on here to make a difference. Look through the 'confessions of a tired old styler' thread or even some of the pictures on the older flylady threads and you will feel much better. Don't just sit getting upset by the mess, spend half an hour doing something about it.

I did the kitchen last night so I had a bit of a clear out in our bedroom today. DH needs to be sanding the varnish off the plaster so the poor house can breathe so I have taken out everything non essential. I have also waxed one of the doors I stripped - looks nice and mellow now.

Pigpen - can we have some fireplace pictures please? Have you finished the last fireplace yet?
Viv - how is your kitchen coming on?
