I read on a photography site (can't remember which one, sorry) that a group were planning to raise objections (through the courts if necessary) if it was found that someone won a DSLR with an image one of their members had taken. (I don't know how they would know who won and what image they'd submitted though??) Perhaps this could be what's still causing the delay???

The coolpix camera winners should be OK as they just voted on the images.
    08 wins £3000+ :j09 wins £4408:j2010 (6 months off) £2004:j2011 £10,003 :j 2012 - £6013 :j2013 wins £8500 :j 2014 £5530 so far....
  • So many issues with this comp its unbelievable. :D:D:D

I think all winners (including myself) have been royally shafted and we're going to have to fight hard to get anything out of this. So.... bend over :p

That's ma lot for now. Anyone for Google

I don't mind (well I do but have to put up with it) waiting for the camera to arrive, what I do mind is being kept totally in the dark about the situation. It would be nice if either Thin Martian or Nikon sent a simple email to each winner confirming they had won (as far as I am aware, this hasn't happened to anyone yet). Common courtesy isn't too much to expect!!!! The organisers of this competition have treated the winners atrociously - very unprofessional.

    Edit

I also find it very unlikely that court action could effect anyone who won a DSLR - their gripe is with the people running the competition, not the people who won (either DSLRs or Coolpix).
    2015 wins: Nokia Lumia 735 Smartphone :D

looks like, IF it comes to it, they're going to get court cases both sides..

I dont see why they cant just send out the wins now and just wrap up the competition - it's been too tarnished now and this lack of prize winner's contact is spreading the internet.. I hate to say it but I think Thin Martian might have just run their last competition unless they start replying to people soon? I mean, they did enough damage with the IndySearch comp.. now this on top? not good..

Thin Martian, if you're reading this, PLEASE contact the winners, give us some hope else I think things are just going to get worse :(

I can't believe they have moved the date yet again, what a total joke. They can discuss end dates but not about notifying winners, etc., or actually stating when this comp is ever going to go live again.

The comp slip that came with indy prizes (another thin martian/msn comp) says Regards Microsoft adCenter Team.

Im certain they are the people you need to trace as they are the fulfilment house for msn comps xxxx
