What I can't work out is why he bid £58
He bid £60 because he was going up in £5 increments, obviously hoping not to outbid you. But as soon as he bid £60 he would disclose your top bid. If he wanted to push you to your limit he should have bid £57 after retracting the £60 bid.
Edit: watch out for yet another bidder who now bids £57 in the closing minutes - if that happens, I'd put money on it being another shill bidder account."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
check out these items :
150258552260 - nike baby trainers uk size 2 - won by lakeaura on 20th June at 7.00 pm.
The same item is being sold again by the seller, as he/she obviously won their own item.
Lakeaura co-incidentally has the same colur star as the bogus bidder on the wardrobes.
Lakeaura happens to be registered in merseyside, as it the seller.
The same bidder appears to have bid on this item as well 150260368588
I would contact the seller and tell them that I am reporting them for shill bidding. And I would not pay.
Oooh, great detective work there jonny, cheers!! :T :T
I've just searched on what that user has bid on and it's only showing the baby shoes for me?Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
lakeaura won 3 items from the seller kenmc1969 in April 2006 as well.
they left each other feedback, but spaced it out over a few days.Karma is a wonderful thing.0 -
Just saw that they have both been registered the exact length of time on eBay too!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0

Reported to ebay as suspect shill bidder. I'll let them decide. I hate it when people shill and make it blatant and stupid.Karma is a wonderful thing.0

Cheers jonny, was going to do it myself but was gonna wait until the end of the auction.
Auction has just finished, I was outbid, by someone who registered 2 days from when the seller registered ~ curious hey! :cool:Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
he's on course to win his own sofas, unless a sniper comes in at the last second.
watch his items in the next week to see if they get re-listed.Karma is a wonderful thing.0 -
shellsuit, are you familiar with goofbay.com ?
http://www.goofbay.com/ebay_tools.html takes you to a site where you can check history of sellers and bidders. I get more success checking seller history, but the bidder history has helped me catch a few other shilling idiots.Karma is a wonderful thing.0 -
No, you watch they'll get offered to Shellshuit as a 2nd chance!A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.0
