Theres nothing left online in the baby girls clothes age 9-12 or 12-18 months or boys age 6. so we're off to my mams to stop the night so she can have the kids in the morning. Im not taking them like i did last time, nice early night for a hectic start in store!!

I really dont se the need of people spending £500+, I'm lucky if I can go in a store with full priced clothes and find enough stuff I like to buy which comes to over £100!

People just go a bit mad and it is quiet unfair, but there are no rules against it.

I'd be happy with one or two bargain bits for my newborn.

I have a slightly different view on the VIP slots and the amounts purchased - I have shopped with Next for many years and purchase a large amount of items right the way through the year not just at sale time, so I see my vip slot as a thank you from Next for my custom, after all how often is it that we get rewarded by our retailers?

As for the amount spent in a vip slot well isn't that down to each individuals circumstances? There is only my husband and I and we spent a large amount, however every item ordered was wanted and not order in numerous sizes or anything.

For me its a great chance to update my work wardrobe (suits) however I also buy suits throughout the year from next, bought one only four weeks ago at full price that is now in the sale, but hey that's how the cookie crumbles.

Don't get me wrong I've had occassions through the years when I didn't get a vip slot and its so frustrating. But at the end of the day Next are in business to make money and maximise their sales so if this is how they do it and if people can get bargains out of it, it works!

But do agree that buying to sell on ebay just seems wrong.

Just wanted to offer a different perspective.

Thanks Lisssa - looking for baby girl items at both 0-3 and 3-6 months!

there is virtually nothing left in girls sizes.
If you now go on the main next web site now you can get access to the sales listings.

I would go to the store if I was you, although make sure you dont get crushed - you dont want that baby to make an early arrival - mid u perhaps next would supply you with a years supply of baby clothes if you do lol

which store are you going to?? I live Northamptonshire - from all the stores I can think of they all seem to have pretty good selection of kids stuff- and if the store is quite small, it might put others going and instead go to one of the larger stores in northampton etc

    happy shopping

    hi

i am too from northamptonshire - this year i am not going as i got allmost everything from the online sale and can't be bothered with dragging my 3 kids out at a daft time of the morning - even though i am nearer to kettering i usually go to milton keynes (very big store) come back up the m1 then nip into riverside. (probably biggest in northampton), corby has a new store which is also fairly big. i dont bother with the town centre or the one up near sixfields, too small and not much home items.

one tip if you live in or near milton keynes try the store near mothercare first, i went to the mk centre first then went to the other store and it was so quiet, smaller but much better.

my orders has not turned up yet, hopefully will come tomorrow.

ps i never buy multiple sizes of anything, if it does'nt fit or suit i send it straight back. glad i got a "vip" invite as what is left in the sale now i dont think i would order anything.

Thanks for your replies - I've never braved the Next sale before but as I'm pregnant I thought it would be worth getting some bits. I'm only looking to buy about 12 items that I really love and most in either 0-3 or 3-6 months. I may brave the crowds and get to the store for 5am but not looking forward to the idea with my big bump!!

    hi

i went to a next sale when i was pregnant, just be careful i felt quite faint towards the end of my shop as it gets really hot instore, get what you want as quick as you can and get to the till as the queues are really short to start with (you dont want to be waiting 45mins to get to a till).

most of all take it easy and perhaps take a large umbrella (you can poke people out of the way with;) )

good luck and i hope you find what your looking for (next baby stuff is sooo cute)

    Hello,

I was just wondering if anybody new, as I need size 13's and they only have in stock at the start of the sale

    Thanks

    Mark

EDIT - Woops, very sorry I meant to make new topic,

On topic though, I find next's range of clothes very good, at very good prices, just last week I bought 2 T-Shirts and a jumper costing me under £20!
