Is the 2000 extra points / 10% off code still working for anybody? It accepts it when I put it in, then 'says sorry not valid at this time' when I go to pay!

    Perhaps they're on to us?

I can't get it to work either, although it did work about an hour ago. I dithered about too much changing my mind and think I've lost out now. :-/

Does any1 know if i buy a ps2 if there is anything avaliable for me to play games that i have backed up to cd/dvd ( i hate using originals as my kids often break or scratch them!) so i would prefer to make a duplicate and then use that (plus returning games that you buy online are a pain!)

If anyone knows whether this is viable or where you can get something to do this or help you, please would you let me know.

    Many Thanks

I don't know a lot about this petchy, but I have heard it mentioned before that to play copies you need to get the playstation chipped (whatever that means).

You mean can it be chipped to play pirated/backed up games?

i think you are asking on the wrong forum - i'd look up one of the ps2 modding sites if i were you.

Please can somebody confirm that these are the new slimline PS2 consoles? I've looked again at the details, and it looks to me like it could be the old PlayStation 2 :(

    Hi Addy
I'm pretty sure it is the slim version because it says on the page that it launched on the 1st November. I don't think they would put that if it was the old one.
    :)

The new PS2 is launched on November 1st

The new PS2 console has improved DVD drivers, a built-in IR receiver and a fan that runs 75% quieter than before! This console is fun, sociable and easy-to-use, this is so much more than a games console.

the mention of 'new' and 'quieter than before' and the clincer 'launched on november 1st' would, with little degree of uncertainty indicate that this is indeed the coveted slim PStwo

    Price £104.49

    10% deducted automatically = £94.49 + 1259 points

    Decision

    a) Enter HFDM48 and get a further 10% off = £83.99 + 1259 points

    OR

    b) Enter TTXG98 and get 2000 extra points  = £94.49 + 3259 points

Use cashback card & rpoints etc to lower price again

(All delivered free of course because it's over £40.00)

You can get the triple points, aoutomatic 10% off & one other code.

I went for the extra 2000 points.

I AM THERE TO BE SHOT DOWN!!!! Please tell me if there is a better way.

It's purely personal preference - and down to how much you order. If you will use the points in Boots (who aren't always the cheapest, but do have some nice things and occasional bargains) then the code for 2000 points is probably the best option for orders under £200.

    No shooting here :D
