Well today is going to be a day for Serious Words with Mr Caringsharing as he has been here for most of the Daddy Weekend. I've got a horrid feeling that his gf has given up on dd(11) and has decided that she's not welcome in her house.

Hey stefejb - how about finding out how much B&B is in your area, and tell him if he wants to stay he pays the going rate! That'll boost your maintenance via the back door, and make him think twice!

((((((((Anniestar))))))))) - so sorry to hear of your dreadful loss. Take care. We're here for you, you know that.

(((Hugs))) to Smoky, PenPin, Candygirl and her Dad, Mrs Mix, Beth and all in need.

Just a very quick post from me because I still feel a bit c**p and I am knee deep in paperwork for DH that I want to get done before he goes away next week to France to do some work for his brother. I want the two weeks as clear as I can get them to give me a chance to do things that I want to do and to catch my breath; during the two weeks I shall hopefully be well enough to enjoy my future DIL's hen 'do' as well!

Smoky - that holiday looks fantastic and I can vouch for Portugal. It's a wonderful place and the people absolutely love children; we have many happy memories of holidays there with the children. My DS2 has red/blond hair and we lost count of the number of times the locals came up just to stroke his head - all in good faith, of course. They really value family life. You'll have a wonderful time and it's nice and relaxed there so you'll get plenty of peace and quiet. It's nowhere near as hectic as the UK. I think it's the perfect choice for you and will be something for you all to look forward to over the next few months. Also, the beaches are lovely, too. Our last holiday there started on 1st January and, although the locals found it cold, we didn't because it was so much warmer than the UK at that time of year and we spent lots of time on the beach!

Anyway, I'm off -back to the grindstone. Will call in later if I get the chance.

Hi everyone, apologies for the late post but was up and out at 5am to do a car boot.

Tired now though but managed to get rid of some [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] really useful stuff.:D

However in the early hours I managed to remember to put a beef joint in the slowcooker with carrots and onions and all that needs sorting for tea is some yorkshires and roasties. The potatoes I'll roast in goose fat that I decanted after having roast goose the other day.;)

Going for a lie down as I'm shattered and will just have a nosy at the thread as I hadn't read through it all.

I like posting here as its a daily reminder to keep my oldstyling head on.

Hope everyone has a productive and old styley day. xx
