Hello all

Thanks Leila1.
Yes, very confusing!!:eek:0 -
It depends on who it was for. Some companies like Bare have an out of date list and can accept a new locations. Some however, will use this as an excuse not to pay. I have shopped new locations before after being 100% sure that they have moved and gave the company the new address but they never bothered to change that in their system!0

On another forum another mystery shopper has posted that the tickets weren't received in time for the pay run, but GFK are doing a seperate pay run for reimbursement of the tickets & it should be in your bank account by next Monday (7th July).
Hope this helps.
Just to let you know that I emailed the assessors stating 'around' the 7th. The interim pay run for the train tickets will actually be on the 8th. Any probs, please do email ukpayqueries@gfk.com as this email goes straight through to the payroll/admin dept. :rolleyes:0 -

My advice remains the same - ask the mystery shopping company!
Again, my experience shows that some companies will use any excuse to avoid paying a shopper for a report (despite the fact that they will probably use the report anyway).
I know everyone has their own reasons for mystery shopping, be it for pin money, full time job, extra money to pay off debts etc, but surely we are all doing it to make money, not be out of pocket?
Worse case scenario is taking your child with you, doing your report, the outlet queries your results saying maybe the child distracted you etc, the company don't pay & you end up out of pocket & possibly sacked by the m/s company.
Taking your advice & doing as you see fit, rather than simply phoning the company concerned doesn't seem to be very sound advice to me, but then I'll probably just be accused of being unhelpful. :rotfl:0 -
When I registered with Bare, I found that the code disappeared really quickly, so next time I made a note of it straight away, don't know if this is the same problem you are having?
Thanks Chollita I emailed them and they sorted it for me. I was told to email my code to them and they would put it on and it should appear by tomorrow. Thanks for your help.Clique member no 1.:D0 -
Just spent the day in bed exhausted with a migraine after doing four big mystery shops (and a few smaller ones) in the past week.
Does anyone else find it tough going to vehicle dealerships haggling for the best price on a vehicle? And by the time I was finishing off the reports last night I just got a complete mental block. I have not done this type of shop before and will think carefully about doing them again.
Anyway, 80% is not bad for the first one of the four reports.0 -

Isn't this annoying when systems are not up to date? I did a sandwich shop yesterday and luckily I knew the area fairly well because the map on the company website was wrong as was the map on the MS company's site. I commented on that at the end of my report. If I was a customer following that map I would have ended up in the middle of nowhere!
Street address was right and the postcode was wrong but they had used the postcode to the address of the shop!
AND I DID actually check the incorrect address to make sure. It was a good 10/15 minutes walk away and it was hot yesterday! :rolleyes2Oct Comp Wins:Slimming World Mag (£2.65) it was a consolation prize but whateva! VIP tix to Armand Van Helden CD Launch at O2,0 -

I made no secret on here Paul of the NIGHTMARE I had doing a dealership gig a while back - and my motto now is never again! The problem with them is that all sales people follow their own patter and own agenda and it just doesn't fit a nicely written scenario. I'm not surprised you have a migraine if you have done four of these! You'll be needing that long haul!0 -
I did a couple of the DIY shops last time and found a simple way of returning the item was saying something along the lines of "I can't believe my husband asked me to get this for him and I've just phoned him to say I've got it and he's said it doesn't matter now 'cos he got one this morning" and act really put out.
My OH has actually done this to me before now.0
