Does anyone have any tips for searching for jobs?
or remembering to check all the ones you are signed up for?
Is there a particular time of day/week/month that companies seem to put jobs on?
Im finding it a bit hit and miss at the minute and while its getting easier (I've been doing this for a month now) Im wondering if there are short cuts and hints along the way!
Feel free to PM me.0 -
There is one of the very original threads with a huge list collected and kindly supplied by Becles.

Mystery shopping is by far the worst paid job ever, but it is fun and you have no boss. You can earn very little for the amount of hours and effort you put in.
There is also a large misconception that better jobs are reserved for certain mystery shoppers. From what I can see there is no loyalty an it is the fast finger who gets the best jobs. I am saying this having taken some very good jobs with no previous experience and having spoken to people who have been doing this for years and they don't get any better offers than anyone else.
It pays to be on the list of few so you can combine jobs and get to be more choosy about what you accept.
Thanks for posting this Leila - everyone who has pm'd me please check this thread out - cos as much as I'd like to I really don't have the time to pm everyone who is pm-ing me. My inbox has been continuously full with pm's! Most of the comps, if not all the comps I am with are on that list.
I am no expert on ms-ing and to be honest you need to try your luck with as many comps as you can for yourself - just because certain comps might be prolific for me does not mean they will be for you - its all down to location and luck of the draw - there is no secret science to this!0 -
Can I echo that too please!
This list is almost identical to the one I got last year, so if you click on that link there's loads to choose from.
I think I've managed to reply to everyone who PM'd me!0 -
That list is a bit out of date now, and I'm afraid with stuff at home that I never kept it updated.
I must get round to tidying it up. I've got some spare server space as I run another forum, so I could stick it on there for reference.
I've also got a guide to mystery shopping that I wrote ages ago. If I get time, I could tidy that up and stick it on too. Here I go again on my own....0 -

I only belong to 4 MS groups - how on earth do you keep on top of being with so many?? Are there any particular MS companies that work for particular places. For example is there anyone who is best to go for if you want supermarket jobs or telephone jobs. I'm pregnant and been signed off on the sick and will be looking for more phone jobs as it's getting harder for me to move!!! Now I've got a lot more spare time though I'm going to apply for a fewmore - can't do any harm can it?0 -
You have to be very organised! You need to find a system that works for you and keep on top of paperwork etc.
I can't live without my Outlook calendar, which I sync onto my mobile phone. Whenever anyone rings/emails about a job, or fastest finger jobs get released, I can see at a glance if I can fit the jobs in or can offer an alternative - eg someone rang last week with jobs that have to be completed by Monday. I said I could go Tuesday if they got desperate, and they rang back later after being unable to find anyone to do it Monday.
As soon as the paperwork is ready, I print it off, put it in an A4 plastic pocket and file it in date order in a "calls to do" file. On an evening I check through what I'm doing the next day and lift out the relevant plastic pockets ready to pick up in the morning.
After I've entered up results, all the jobs are filed in a "calls awaiting payment" folder. I write the date I did them and the fee plus any reimbursements owed on the front.
I check my online banking once a day, and remove jobs paid from the awaiting payment folder, and then file them away to keep just in case of queries.
I also keep my accounts updated daily so I don't lose track of where I have been or what I spent or who paid what etc.
You need to be disciplined to keep everything up to date and be organised, but it is do-able.Here I go again on my own....0 -
