I'm sooooo not with it. No ipod, no iphone, no laptop, no pdf...no skype, no facebook...

you'll probably all shun me after that confession...

Anyhow can someone clarify TNS allowances please? Without mentioning fees or companies, they have a cafe and a restaurant on. The cafe says you will be reimbursed up to x for the drink. Does this mean if the drink costs half of x you only get half of x? If you but 2 drinks will you get all of the amount known as x? Or can you get all of x if you buy a cake and a drink to the value of x or a bit over x? Sorry if this is cryptic but people have got told off for posting costs on here.

The restaurant says you can get x but if you go over x or if someone else eats with you or you go over x they will only pay your meal. Does that mean if you both eat up to x or just over they won't give you x and will only pay for your part of the meal even if it's much lower than x? I hope not, cos that seems really stingy especially for an evening job when I feel you look conspicuous dining alone anyway. It's not even as if x is that high imho.

    anyone still with me?

Daren't go on facebook myself - I spend long enough on MSE as it is without another site to get addicted to, between this one and my Mys Shopping, I really need more of a life, not less of one!! BlackBerry and laptop from work - do love my BlackBerry tho!

Anyway, in response to your question, TNS will only pay you what you spend, so worth your while spending up to their limit. If the place you're talking about happens to be a coffee shop, then just be careful not to order 2 coffees as this will alter the time it takes for you to be served, so better to stock up with muffins, cake etc, mmmm! May as well spend up to what you're allowed and I've not been queried on this. (I did get a little lost with X & Y....)

Gap will pay you the full entitlement whether you spend it all or not, so you can sometimes make a little there, but watch out, as they often say you must spend £5 (stamp shops & convenience stores for example) or £3 at bookies and that is exactly what the reimbursement is.

It's very very quiet for me at the minute, very quiet. GfK have nothing at all, RE the blasted the pharmacy jobs (no to hayfever et al), Gyp, the usual ballaxe, Bare, similar but loads of emails about jobs, when i have a long list for allocation.

I've had a good chunk of audits to do this week, apart from that, very quiet.

Depends what you mean by new ?

Yeah, I don't know of any new ones on TNS - do you know something we don't, or been given some new ones? The only ones I can see have been around a while. A certain chain of pubs and a pizza place and the usual airport crop - otherwise me too:confused: ...
