I hate to break it to you amboy, but I think they might just be! They are on my wish list, and I think others on here have them and I believe Timmne was mooning about his the other week, all loved up. :D

Loved up doesn't even begin to describe it. My GF was annoyed when I said "my iphone will be 41 days old when we get married" :D

It actually does poach eggs, too. (well, you know what I mean.)

    Hi Everyone,

I'm a long time lurker and now a 1st time poster on this forum so please be gentle with me.

I've recently joined the ranks of mystery shopping but it is still early days yet, I've signed up and been accepted with RE, GFK and GAP to start with and I've just completed my 3rd assignment.

I'm a bloke and wondered what the split was like regards ladies to men as Mystery Shoppers ?

So far I've been to a bookies, mobile phone shop and today a high street retailer. I've just submitted my first report to RE so I await the outcome of that - hopefully I won't be struck off on my first attempt !

With regards to alerts and looking for new mystery shops how often do you folks check the websites ? Do you tend to wait for the alert emails as I've had a few of these and by the time I've logged in there's nothing there ?

Anyway - Just wanted to say Hi

They do sound great. How many mobile phone shops would I have to do to afford one???

  • hi Manfred - welcome. It's a tricky one this. I actually prefer those companies who send out alerts rather than those who wait for you to find them cos I get tired of trawling through the searches. (also it starts to feel a little sad...)
But I get what you mean, some send alerts but then things have gone already. That might be fluke that people were just on at the right time cos I don't think the alerts always coincide with the jobs on exactly.

I would guess there are about 3x more ladies doing this but it's an interesting question - does any one know?

MMmmnn, not been too helpful have I?:o

    hiya Manfred:hello:

Well there is a mix on here of male and female posters. Whatever the sex, I think we are a friendly bunch and there always tends to be someone about if you have any q's.

It helps to check the ms sites regularly to check for work as opposed to wait for them to email you tbh. Make sure you subscribe to our alerts thread - there is a link on timmnes sticky post at the start of this thread (I would paste it here but I can't seem to post links today - anyone else got this prob today?).

    :D

by the way, although I open abai in ie, I've always opened gap in mf - am I missing out on yet more ease??? Should I change over for gap?

Yes I use IE for gap too - otherwise the print outs are pants - they only seem to work properly in IE.;)

Are you sure it's a "nice little petrol job", cranezoe, or are you being taken for a ride by Gap? I recently turned down 2 petrol jobs that they so very kindly offered me when they wanted me to do an out-of-my-way job - because the payment for the job wouldn't even have covered the amount that they ask you to spend and there is no fee either! Rip-off!

They wanted me to do a job in my local town and wanted it doing that day. when I said I wasnt sure I wanted to go back into town they offered me a petrol one where I got reimbursed for fuel and only had to spend a tiny amount in store and also increased the fee for the electrical job they wanted me to do.
Sooooo in this instance I reckon I wasnt being taken for a ride :T well since its Gap I probably was being taken for a ride but it was quite a nice one lol!
