The way I save my search on GAP is by typing the following:

    http://www.xec.gapbuster.com/WebSelect3/SearchAssignment.aspx?q=search&flag=true&f1=TOWN1,TOWN2,TOWN3,f2=&f3=&c=&a=&start=&end=&premiumOnly=false&pageSize=25&pageIndex=0

Where it says town 1 etc, just type in all the towns you can think of. Any with a space in, just stick %20 in instead of the space. Put a comma (and no spaces) between town names... If you then save this link in your favourites, you can search with ease just by clicking on it. :D

    HTH

Edit to say the MSE site shortens this link. You need to click on it, then it'll be in your address bar for you to edit.

The list only contains towns that currently have jobs available. There is a box to tick on the right hand side of the page to save a search, but it will only save the boxes that are available to tick at that time. So if town x is onthe list on Monday, but by Tuesday the job has gone, but another one has appeared with a different spelling, you won't be able to save a search with both spellings. Annoying isn't it!! I find it easier to search by client.

I did wonder if it was that - but it can't be because there are 2 local towns listed today which I have never seen listed before - but there are no jobs for those towns, only the same jobs I saw listed last week.

Thanks for the tip about searching by client, though - I might try that instead.

Sorry, I don't quite follow. Where do you mean, when you say 'town 1' etc? I can only see a list of towns with tick boxes next to them, I can't see a space for me to write my choice of towns. Whereabouts on the page is that please?

If you click the link I posted, the address bar will show the address I'm on about, listing town 1 etc. Change these to your local towns and add in your own where you fancy....

This didn't quite work for me, partly because I wasn't logged in when I clicked on it. But even when I did log in it just took me to the home page. BUT thanks to your tip I did a search for all the current towns I'm interested in, clicked search, and searched with all the clients ticked. When I got to the list of jobs I copied the contents of the address bar into word, and added in every other town I could think of, including all the misspellings I've seen, and the name of the county, and street names that I'm interested in! I copied that back into the address bar and that worked - provided I had another tab open which was logged in. That is now saved in favourites.

I've seen that, I think it means that there are jobs available in that town, but not available to you, because you're not entitled to do them for some reason.

:cry: Am insulted now! Why aren't I good enough????!!!!

I've read comments about people being on probationer status for other MS companies. Do Gap do this? I haven't seen anything on the site, but then, to be honest, I find it a bit of an awkward site to navigate.

Too old? Too young? Wrong sex? Failed a requirements test? I've not really worked this bit out yet... But I do know that one of their clients requires a kit, which they only give to a few people in each area. Don't get excited though its only a coffee!
