Hi, can anyone help me out, I keep looking on GR and finding absolutely nothing, is there a best time of day to keep a look out on the website, or any other helpful tips, thanks a bundle

I think it's just luck of the draw really with GR. I only get offers of jobs about once a month and they go within a few mins usually.
I'm beginning to wonder what I have got myself into with Secret Shopping Services. For anyone who does not know, they are an American based company who would appear to be very dodgy to say the least.

Sorry to hear about your problems rcp. I haven't heard of them so can't comment. Were the cancelled shops narratives similar? I don't think it's too dodgy asking for ID, but I wonder why they didn't ask for that at the beginning. Have you given them a call? You could see what you make of them over the phone and decide whether or not you want to continue with them.

Maybe it is just me being tired and crotchety doing my new Asda job. I had agreed to do an off sales MS for a measly fee and a mile long report.

So it is located in the single most deprived area I know. You all know the sort...even the rottweilers have protection.!!! A female in a white trackie is "The Bride" and a bloke in a suit is "The Accused"

Of the inhabitants of this area no one but no one would go in and ask for a recommendation for a nice wine. So the assistant is looking gobsmacked at me as their best selling wine is whatever is the cheapest at the highest alcohol by volume. I am no expert but not sure what goes with Buckfast. Then she saw me looking at her top for a badge and suddenly shreeked "Oh no I forgot my badge"

So I picked a white wine didn't bother asking for a receipt and emailed the MS company that this scenario was ludicrous for such an area.

  • Great story, its a toughie that though Hollypear as obviously the MS company won't know the specific areas.

Which company was it for? Hints are welcomed!

HP - pants for you - I had a simliar incident where me and the member of staff both started to get red faces as realisation struck! :o

Right I have been paid by 3 comps today - 2 it currently doesn't say who it is from and one says CHAPS payment - who pays by CHAPS, I thought they were all BACS?

Been quiet this week for me too guycross - but bizarrely I've started to get offered work from all the ones your rarely ever hear from!
  • I'm moving my 2nd acct from Halifax to Lloyds as the bank charges have just crippled me (£35 for 11p over!) but that's for another thread.

Got to change all my details once the new acct is approved, what an absolute nightmare!

I have been paid today too, it doesnt show up who from until later, but GfK have paid, Assosia and Bare paid me other day as well, got a packed schedule at the minute.

I am also very quiet this week!! After a month and a half of doing several shops a day I don't have another one til next week! I don't know what to do with myself! Although to be honest with working full time as well I probably needed a break! Nice big payments coming in from a couple of companies soon though! Had my first wage from GfK today - only £27 but better than nothing!! Got quite a bit coming from RE this time too so looking forward to that!
  • I had £128 from GfK today, love.y.
  • RE is really quiet at the mo.

Not doing any more GAP until I get paid this month. I don't trust them to pay me so I'm not spending any more of my money until I can be certain I will get it back
