Although to be honest with working full time as well I probably needed a break! Nice big payments coming in from a couple of companies soon though! Had my first wage from GfK today - only £27 but better than nothing!! Got quite a bit coming from RE this time too so looking forward to that!
I do MS and look after two small children, mostly I do about 5 shops on a week day and about 8 on saturday. The travelling and reports make my days hectic and I can't cope most of the time.
Most of the time I question whether it is woth it because when you take away the value of free bs the actual income is very low!
I admire anyone who can do this and keep a full time job!0 -
To be honest it's the reports that's the killer! I don't know how you could sit and do 8 reports on a Saturday night! If I have to do 4 it bores me!
And I tend to look for jobs I can do wither on my lunch break or on my way home work work. I work in the city centre so that helps for the lunchtime ones.0 -
I always say that if I moved out of the city then I wouldn't bother with MSing - the travelling & parking would suck up my small profits otherwise!0

I know so many people who work full time and do MS work. I don't know how you can manage? When do you rest and do other things.

I'm impressed that you can do that many jobs with the kids. I too have two small children, but rarely take them on most ms jobs as I do need to focus my attention on the job at hand (though occasionally they are happy enough with a biscuit for a quick one) - and personally the most I have ever done in one day is 5 and that is very rare (and I didnt have the children) - and that was more than enough once you include the time taken to properly complete the reports as well. My kids - as good as they are - would never sit through more than one quickie shop nor would I expect them too. Are you superwoman?0 -
Timmne I did a bank MS today and they had a leaflet saying there is a new BACS system which will avoid the delay in BACS payments. And they now should reach us in hours rather than days.
Problem is this almost definitely means that the MSing companies will pay a few days later so we get the payment at the same time  :mad:0 -
My eldest is full time at school now, and the youngest one goes to nursery, In the morning I take the little one and go to a coffee or shopping, I don't do phone shops and other bores. In the afternoon I do banks or something similar. I keep 3 days off to catch up with life.
Sarah I ignore the 24 hour rules, and it is though for anyone who doesn't like it. On Saturday when I am back I am too tired and just want to play with kids. I do my reports the following morning. Except RE coffee and ABAi they cancel jobs if they are not reported on time. RE deduct points, IMS I wouldn't dare I like to keep my score high.
I find that rule of writting the same night annoying.0 -
I work part time and tend to do my ms on days that I work so I can just go into town at lunch time. Plus I dont have to travel places.
I have a toddler so have to tie it in with her - like her sleep, her boredom level, whether I am allowed to take her etc - on my days off so its just easier to do when I work. I could do more if I worked full time!
Its the reports that are the hardest bit. I dont like doing alot of jobs in one day as I know I will have to spend all night writing them up when I could be doing something else.0 -
Agree about the reports being a pain! I rarely do anything on a Thursday as there is no way I am missing Heroes!0
