Landlord not paying Mortgage!!!!

I would strongly agree with the previous advice from lil-me. If you stop paying the mortgage for whatever reason. Do not be tempted to spend it. I suspect that the money is definitely owed and if not then you will have something put by for a deposit on somewhere else. There is lots of good advice on this thread, take it and good luck!I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
Don't assume. I am renting my house on a residential mortgage. I have consent from my lender, they sent the consent paper to my new address but decided to send my annual statement to the rented house. Their excuse was that one department didn't talk to the other and I should have rang around to get my address changed!
I did just that and still, my tenants receive some of my mail
It could just be her lender is as useless as mine.
Something similar happened to me...my lender/bank got themselves mixed up somewhere...I had a mortgage and current account with the same financial institution, and after I had enquired about getting a mortgage on another property I own and is rented out, the trouble started.
For some reason the banking side started sending my statements, debit card AND PIN numbers to the OTHER property without me being aware until much later on.

Bluddy good job my tenant was honest! He could have literally cleaned me out.
Anyway, cutting a long story short, after MANY MANY phone calls both here and somewhere in India, I finally gave up and closed the account as I wasn't gettting anywhere with the idiots.
So be warned folks...your bank or lender could start sending all sorts of sensitive stuff to another address if you so much as mention it in a phone call and it's in their syatems somewhere.
Sorry...waaaay off topic there, but felt the urge to post..!0
