    hi all,

Today after paying a few debts my balance in total now stands at 23,113. Would of been a real mile stone to get less than 23k in April. Especially as I am unemployed at the moment. Need for find a job even paying minimum wage asap. Iam hoping to be in the region of 23.7k next month my target for this year is to be less the 20k by dec09. I'm aiming for 19k ish in that region. Fngers crossed. I am slowing choping off my smallest debt of 1300 with northern rock first, despite having 2 CC at 3.3k balance I rather have 5 debts to manage than 6. Sometimes i makes more sense to chop each one at a time. I will be much happier when i chop off then go on to the next prehaps the barclaycard cc. HSBC mastercard issued me a default so I have lost will to pay them as a priority now.

Anyways this is what works for me.

Oh I'm paying the rest of the bills, mortgage etc goes without saying......

Hope to hear on your thoughts.

    Cheers
    Optmus

Lightbulb was back in Sept 2007 when I had 33.5k of debts now standing at 23.2k at april 2009

Well done! Slow and steady wins the race as they say. I am hoping to get under 17K next month myself. It is a good feeling knocking another 1k off the figure isn't it?

You nearly have 10K knocked off your debt too!

    Hello Hobsch,
Just read through your diary and you have done very well indeed, our debts are practically the same, i am starting to wonder wether i should start my own diary. Just wondering if you do the free daily scratchcard sites?! i do these and the occasional £10-£20 really helps me out and its money you didnt really have to throw at your debt (or savings). Heres the link just incase you happen to not know about them http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1412565 keep up the good work and ill keep reading. :D

    Thanks CMD and Stacy.

Your doing really well CMD, I'll have to check your diary.

Stacy - it is worth doing a diary. I have been unable to visit here recently but a diary is a good thing to do.
