You are not advising me as I requested, you are just abusing me and basically making me feel like the scum of the earth. Hope you feel better for it.
Rubbish as well you know, if nothing else, you at least see the concerns that LL's also have. Some LL's also have commitments you know?
Has all of the UK turned into a bunch of whingers just because they cannot pay their debts and attend to their obligations.
The rent arrears and the S21 are a done deal.
Maybe someone will tell you how to win your deposit back 3 fold.0 -
I can understand totaly, the last thing I wanted was to fall into arrears 5 months into the tenancy, the relationship between LL and us was brill, they inspected the house after 3 months and were chuffed to bits. I could not have expected this would have happened, our rent is £585 pcm, I could only pay £300 leaving me £285 in arrears which I cleared 3 weeks later. The problem was, because I was off work sick and only recieving statutory sick pay, I was unsure as to when I would be able to clear arrears, I was honest about this, this was obviously an error on my part. On the other hand i didnt want to promise to clear the arrears the following month in case I couldnt. It does seem like there was more!!
The OP has said that she has cleared the arrears.
It might be worth a phone call to the LL (or his wife) to state that and you would like to stay, and you have now sorted out your financial affairs, and there won't be any more missed payments.
I can fully understand, however, that most LLs don't want the extra grief of chasing rent with everything else.
I just got a new tenant and the first payment didn't come through. It was a bank? (Nationwide) mess up and has now been sorted, but has taken time to sort out which I didn't need

No good being bitter because you didn'y happen to win, I also didn't first time around.
Mainly the government's for the lack of regulation and tenure associated with ASTs and the stupidity of a system that forces people to stay put beyond a section 21 to be eligible for tenured accommodation.0 -

I just happen to also care about the communtiy I live in. Just because I'm alright does not make me deeply unhappy at the lack of tenure and stability created by ASTs. I can see the social and knock-on increase in my tax bill to deal with the effects and I don't like it.
Don't tell me, I didn't do it.
Take it up with your elected representitive.
There is a lot more pain to come as a result of the greed of the past few years.0 -
Who? Name names, because your post is under one by barnaby bear, who appears to be on your side, which appears to be unfair to me.You are not advising me as I requested, you are just abusing me and basically making me feel like the scum of the earth. Hope you feel better for it.After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
To dissolve the people
And elect another?0 -

I could have lived in the property since the fall out, not paid a penny and still been in the same predicament Im in now. I have morals, I cleared my arears, have bank statements to prove to court if need be, continued to pay rent on time, the house is immaculate as it was on arrival. You are accusing me of lying, saying there was more to it, thats your opinion. To be perfectly honest I think I have done the best I physically can in the given sutuation. I am in a job that I dont like, just so I can pay rent to a LL who is kicking me out anyway. What reason have you actually got a problem with me? You sound like my landlord, maybe you are!0

Captain and Barnaby..This thread is not a debate about rules and regulations.....We can do that elsewhere if you like..
It is about helping someone who has had difficulties and would like to know how she should proceed.
Put your efforts into coming up with a solution..
I'm normally harsh, but not everything is black and white
