We love North Yorkshire - it's so pretty and the caravan site we are staying on is only a fairly small, independant one, but has a playground and swimming pool to keep the kids entertained.

Hahaha.....I would stay out of North Yorks towards the end of August, just in case!

Actually, I need to go and investigate the DVLA website to check if Stu can tow the camper. He only passed his test in 1999, and if you passed after 1997, you can't tow a caravan without taking an extra test (I think that's right). I was trying to work out whether or not he can tow a trailer, and it seems to depend on the overall weight, but I need to read it more carefully.

If he can't tow it, then I will have to!!!

Oh dear, I must go and get on with some housework - Natasha is roaming the living room picking up bits of fluff and stuff from the carpet and passing them to me one by one......time for a vac I think! :o

  • lol. I can sympathise. My little girl is currently destroying her toys and then cheering as she throws the pieces out of the window.

Right, kitchen tidied, kids fed and watered, washing up almost finished, now to tackle the dining area.

Ryan has had a mini tantrum but managed to bring himself round with the help of a hug and a few distraction techniques. I'm claiming that as a success. :p

Just had a look at what fruit and veg we have coming from Abel & Cole - there's apples, bananas, carrots, courgettes, potatoes and spinach (there were pears too, but I have requested a substitute because half the time we don't end up eating them).

Not a bad list really - we would have bought all those things on our weekly shop apart from the spinach (I'm the only one that likes it, so I make do with frozen spinach, because I only tend to use it in pasta sauces). It arrives on Tuesday, so I will have to remember not to buy too much fruit and veg at the supermarket tomorrow.

I wonder if I could hide the spinach in a quorn lasagne? :D

    Tried and failed...lol

Ryan can spot a green leaf at 200 paces....hates anything like that. And Stu only likes iceberg.

I sometimes sneak a bit into bolognaise, and say it's basil....:rotfl:
