Tig, I really wish I could take you along. That's a lovely offer.
Sadly, it's one of those 'got to stand up for myself and do it on my own' moments, which I am not particularly fond of (to put it mildly).

And the school has a duty of care towards Ryan..so don't let them get away with it or the County..i would make that a port of call if no joy with school, as well as the governers.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Thanks babe....if I get scared, I will let you know.
Bob - thanks hun, I may involve parent partnership too, and there's a lady at the local support group who is really well up on fighting these sorts of battles. I'm going to fight as hard as I can to get Ryan the help he needs and I wont let fear stand in my way! This time next year, I will be running for prime minister, just you watch...."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

I can well believe it Snaggs..get as many people as possible invoved..i think it needs to be done at this stage, then it is all in place when he goes to Secondary school. It saddens me that you should have to fight for a promised right..it is all there in the education acts..and the school should be doing more than lip service. If they fought more there would be funding available for him.:cool:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Bob, I've been having a look at that link, thanks. Ours is a triangular plot, but I could adapt it I think. For the first year, we are just going to sling stuff in and see what grows - I'm sure we will get something, but it could be a bit of a lucky dip!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

thats scary in a good way...........wow, I think I would be feeling very sick and happy at the same time!
re: Ryan, it must be sorted before sec.school, it is so easy for kids to get lost in secondary school, there is never one teacher responsible and then you can never find them - well that's what its like at my place. I am sure you will sort out it out in september tho, the school must support Ryan so you aren't asking for too much. sorry to just butt in, I have been trying to sort out help for a kid at my place and "someone" lost the paper work, didn't follow up assessments and now he isn't statemented which I just CANNOT believe. poor kid constantly in trouble and we are just screwing up his life chances.
headache now offcially worse.
good luck with shares and sorry for the rant.

Rant away Buffy, that sounds awful, poor kid. These children are slipping under the radar, and something should be done about it. I don't know what, but I'm reading and learning so much, maybe I will find some way that things could be changed for the better.
Luckily we've got another 4 years before Ryan goes to secondary school, but I'm aware all of a sudden of time ticking away, so I want everything in place sooner rather than later.
The difficulty is that Ryan is managing to hold a lot of it in at school, but then because he is so wound up, he explodes at home. Which I suppose is better than him lashing out at teachers and classmates like he did a couple of years ago, but is still not ideal.
It wouldn't take much to make school a nicer environment for him either....just a bit of extra effort.
Hope your headache passes off soon xxxx"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
