Thanks Guys.
Have seen my Dr and feeling a little calmer.
IA - It has been building for a while, but a few things this week have completely set me off.
Apparently Dr thinks it might be seasonal, and a few other things. I'm going to pop in and see the counseller, but I can't get in until the end of July!
But I think I might do a very undfw thing and book myself a cheap break somewhere.
I think I need a holiday!Current debt - £16,300

If you think it'd help then go for it - get in quick before the fuel/ flight prices go up!
The seasonal thing is interesting - I think a lot of people feel like they should be doing all sorts in Summer, and that everyone else is having lots of fun, whilst it's just passing them by.. I know I feel better when it gets brighter/ warmer and make lots of plans and then get that feeling a couple of months later.
Glad you got to see the doc, I hope you (mentally at least) stuck your tongue out at the receptionist on the way past

I'm going to look into the seasonal thing and see if there is anything I can do about it.
It odd though, I was really positive yesterday and part of me still feels like that, but another bit doesn't. It's like I am always fighting myself. Which is really tiring.Current debt - £16,300

hi lucy,
Just wanted to send you a hug.
I hope that seeing your dr has helped. I know mine is always v good and gets my feet back on the groud re depression. Maybe a bit of a holiday will help? Also, if you can identify what it is that's making you feel down, you can:
a) do something about it
b) decide that you don't have the energy to do something about it but its not your problem anyway
c) decide that it does need dealing with at some point but not right now and you'll do it when you're feeling better.
Look after yourself hon. Eat well (ish :-)), go for a walk and have a chat with a friend. I find that cat stroking is also v theraputic!
Take care,
Ali xx
PS Receptionist at my drs is also nosey. When they ask, i just tell them "Its something i see her (dr) regularly about" and that seems enough to shut them up.Not Buying It 2015

I am going to try and eat well.
But Summer SAD is really rare (trust me!) so looks like finding stuff out about it will be tough.Current debt - £16,300

Are you getting enough sunlight though? I think you need calcium or something for your body to process it too.Debt Free - done

Depression with Summer SAD is the rarer form, but there's still advice out there. I can definitely recommend the "SAD for Dummies" book.

I get annoyed at receptionists like that. I once rang and said I needed to see any doctor either that day or the next day. Got told I couldn't see any doctor until 4 days time and couldn't see my doctor for over a week.
I got really upset and said no I can't wait 4 days I need to see a doctor and she insisted I couldn't. Then I started crying and said that I had taken all of my asthma medication and it wasn't having any effect and I still had problems and I needed to see a doctor - and all of a sudden she said well if you're asthmatic you can see a doctor at 3 pm THIS AFTERNOON. cow!
I complained to the Doc said I'd got upset coz of their receptionist which hadn't helped the fact that I was having trouble breathing. He said I could put in a formal complaint because it isn't up to them to decide whether or not your appointment is urgent. If you say it is, then it's up to the doctor when you see him to tell you if it wasn't urgent.
Thankfully am now at a different surgery and haven't had any issues.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0
