    Hi Penguin,

Nothing planned! Weather is bad here too, - I'm in Liverpool - start a new job in 3 weeks (more money!) just getting all these debts sorted so i can clear once and for all and rebuild my life! Got to prepare for a court hearing in just over a week regarding access to my children! I actually like housework but live on my own so its never really a massive job!!!!!! Thanks for your reply hun x

Have you thought about doing some online surveys to bring in some extra cash? I recommend www.onepoll.co.uk, www.homeofresearch.co.uk and www.itsyourview.co.uk.

    Good luck

Hi. You could manage your own DMP or you could contact one of the charities. A lot of people like to have the support from one of the charities behind them and the charities tend to get the payments accepted easier (I guess the co's think if you are with one of the charities you are more serious about sorting your debts out). Since your creditors have already accepted your offers of payment I wouldn't have thought you would have too many problems getting them to accept a little more. You might find it more stressful dealing with the companies yourselves or you might like the feeling that you're in control. It's up to you basically - whichever you choose you will find people on here who have gone down that route.

hi dancingfairy, thanks for your comments, everybody on here is so kind!

The present company I'm with anyway takes 15% cut. Idon'tmind doing it myself as I'm an accountant anyway, but I know what you mean about having one of the charities behind you!

I have wrote to all ofmy creditors and gave all my address details and requested upto date balances!

Will let you know how i progress!

Hi Tony. Just caught up with your thread. Keep your chin up mate. I know how hard it can be. Why not try some mystery shopping too, there is a good thread in the additional income section. You are doing so well, so many NSD's. I cannot imagine not seeing my kids for so long, my ex husband has not bothered with his for 3 and a half years now, it would kill me. Best of luck mate

Good Luck managing your dmp. I have never done one myself having been lucky enough to avoid getting into too much trouble but there are people on here that are managing there own.
Just be prepared to stick to your guns. Only pay what you can afford, communicate only in writing and if you get any hassle then come back on here and someone will be around with a letter quoting harrassment or telling you what rights you have. Do not let them bully you into paying more than you can afford and you will do fine. If you do struggle then don't forget you can always call on one of the charities then - it'll still be available although you might have to wait awhile as they can be really busy.
It sounds like you are already going great guns anyway.
Your kids sound really lucky to have you and I hope you can get things sorted quickly for yours and the kids sakes.

Hi guys, I hope everyone is ok!

I have had a NSD today with the exception of £10 petrol, but also managed to get £10 back from a colleague who owed me!

Can I ask advice from you guys? You know I want to start managing my own DMP? Would I be allowed to clear my smaller debts first or would it be shown as favouring people. I will continue to pay people as my current company pay but if I have extra then just clear all my small debts with the extra money? Any help would be great
