    Hi guys!

I'm feeling really down today, I knew this month was going to be tight but just realised my TV licence direct debit has come out so only got like £70 for the month. I got my serviced last month and driving home tonight, the diagnostic light has come on! Also,my partner is pressuring me to go out at the weekend and I just can't do it! She knows money is tight but does not know the full extent of my £18k debt. On a postive note, I have had another NSD. How do I get my debts on my signature like k has done above?

Thanks for listening to me moan!

Hi Tony - to do a signature go to the "user CP" option on the green panel at the top and then select "edit signature" on the left hand side.

Really hope you manage to get something sorted with the CSA to give you a bit of breathing space.

To get you through the month have you got any stuff lying around that you can sell at a car booty this weekend? It will give you some instant cash to get you through the month.

Well done on your NSD x x

Hi Tony, penguin83 has given you some good advice! things are so tight for us this month so weve decided to get some stuff together for a car booty! although its meant to be raining here at the weekend so might have to put it off until next weekend!

keep your chin up hun, no reason why you cant keep having no spend days if you managed it for the past few days.

Why not ask your partner round to yours at the weekend for dinner and a dvd? sometimes nights in are better than nights out anyway!! im sure she'll understand k x

Hi guys! I hope everyone is ok and had a good day day today!

I have had another NSD today, so really pleased about that, however need to pay for petrol tomorrow and brothers birthday present! Good news, I finally got my variation form from the CSA after waiting 8 weeks so will complete that and hopefully see a reduction in my payments!

Thanks to everybody for letting me moan for the last few days! I have great friends here already!

    Thank you!

    Yeay for another NSD Tony.

Look how much more positive you are sounding in less than a couple of weeks. Thats really good to see.

    Fingers crossed for the CSA.

    Hi Tony,

I thought I'd check out your thread as you've been so kind and encouraging on mine :D .

That's a pain about the CSA, my B-I-L had an awful time with them, they take incompetence and confusion to a whole new level  .

I notice you're with a fee paying Debt Management company  . Please look at moving to CCCS or Payplan. They are free and will mean that the fees your paying now can go towards your debts and you'll have them cleared so much quicker.

    Good luck on your journey,
    Sam,

    Morning guys,

Sorry I couldnt post for the last few days as I had a problem with the internet. I just want to say thanks to everyone who has supported me so far in the 2 weeks that I have been on here, its been amazing. I am now having my LBM and seeing what I actually owe. I know I owe around £18k on cards etc but adding my parents in, its more like £25k.

I have been paying for the last 2 years via a debt management company at £100 per month. I have sort of let this run along as I always thought one day my creditors would come back and ask for more. I have checked this morning and they take 15% of this so only £85 goes towards my debts. Therefore, over the last 2 years Ihave paid them £360 which would have cleared one of the smaller debts on my list. Iam now looking to manage this myself as I feel I could make further interim payments and alone I will have an extra £15 to give each month.

Does everyone agree Ishould manage it myself? I really wish I had found this forum 2 years ago, but having said that its better than finding it in another 2 years time!

I'm going through all my debts today and update all my contact details as previously I have been frightened to change them for fear of them coming back to me and asking for more! Is it the best thing to manage this myself and will they take on board my situation instead of a debt agency acting for me!

Sorry for a long post guys, but you are really helping me!

Hey Tony - well done on your LBM!

Have you spoken to the CCCS - they will be able to advise you on your debts and if appropriate to a DMP for you free of charge. There is a DMP Support Thread and some posters on there are managing their own so it may be worth having a read through and seeing how they are finding it?

I know what you mean about finding this site earlier. My debts would have been about half what they are now if I knew then what I know now!

Hindsights a wonderful thing! Are you doing anything exciting this weekend? The weather is awful today so a thrilling day of housework ahead. xx x
